A4 B9 (2016 - Tech Pack) - Gracenotes update / Cover art query.

Hi All

I primarily play music in my A4 B9 (2016 - Tech Pack) over Bluetooth from my IPhone (never CarPlay I'm not a fan!).

I am finding that when I am playing newer and more upto date Songs/Albums I just get the generic genre based cover art - and old songs/albums the cover art shows fine.

I suspect that the Gracenotes Database within the MMI needs to be updated to facilitate this? - I was wondering if anyone could offer any clarification around this, and whether a whole MMI update would be required or if updating the Gracenote DB is even possible?

Unfortunately not no.

Cover art is saved as a file when you save the album to media, you need the correct file format to display this and will be included in the metadata

I'm playing the music through my phone via Bluetooth not saving the album to media - the question was why does the MMI display album art for older music/albums and not for newer? presuming a gracenotes update was required as the fix, Its likely that the newer images are too higher res or quality to be displayed I have since read. Tx
