Hey guys, thought it would be interesting to see what mileage others have reached in their 2.0 TDI engines. I'm currently on 175,250 miles and I have an '06 A3 Sportback 2.0 TDI 140 six speed manual!

Engines still pulls strong. Recently fitted Bilstein B8 shocks, H&R 35mm lowering springs and 18 inch OEM Ronal S-line alloys. Although I'm thinking of going back to the 16 inch alloys that came with my car to improve handling!

Next mod is remap...looking to take my car over 200k...fingers crossed

Mine is 54 plate, close to 183900 still pulls strong. Drives nicely in all gears.

Good to hear Qasim. What is your oil change regiment like? Do you use VW 507 00 spec or 505 01?

I've only had the car for like 6 weeks. But I changed the oil in my 3rd week. Depends on how many miles I do in my first year.
Umm 5W-40 oil I think it is.
Sorry not familar with them spec numbers

2010 on 42,000.

I'll get my coat.:crying:

Mine is currently has 132k on the clock but looking in the DVLA for previous MOT's it was clocked back 60k so unsure if it still has the original engine ! If it does I'm not far off 200k !! Idle is a bit funny on cold (misses) and I'm not sure why ! But other than that it still goes strong with a remap, blew out 5th and 6th gear on the motorway so gearbox replaced and new turbo fitted

Anything after 150k on an existing turbo and it's like a 20yr old cat. Any fright and it will sh1t itself and die..

Not necessarily...like everything else it depends on how well it's been looked after.

I'm just over 110,000...

Our BKD Sline has managed 111,000 so just a walk in the park compared to you others. Had a new turbo at 100,000 miles but that's it, no other problems.
Have any of you high mileage boys had oil pump problems?

Swapped the hex drive in mine at last oil change...it was pretty bad to be honest but never had any oil pressure issues.

As far as I can tell, mines had no major parts changed yet, changed the rear shocks a month ago, only general wear and tear items been changed

2004 BKD, just ticked over 156.5k. Few issues but nothing major on the mechanical side.

56-reg BKD 6 speed manual 3dr A3 currently 234k
56-reg BKD 6 speed manual Leon 243k
13-reg A4 2.0tdi 136 51k
94-reg 1z Audi 80 201k

I like mine to get run in like

54 reg Audi A3 2.0 tdi 119,600 only had it 2 weeks. Engine seems fine just need to do a rear wheel bearing. Hoping to keep it for many years and miles.

My 2010 just clocked 100,000 serviced every year without fail, looks and drives lovely

This is of course why new car sales are dropping, 10 years 100k is really nothing now
My S3 which i bought new in 2011 has done 95k, goes like stink and last dyno run did 381bhp, its still my new cart and i cant think of any good reason to spend £40k replacing it with a slower std 8V

if you dont push your car on cold, change regular oil and cool it after sport drive, engine can do 500K

116,000 here. Purchased as a cat-D at 55,000ish at £4k less than what the previous owner had purchased it for, had one mechanic change the oil filter incorrectly causing oil to leak out all over the engine causing the cambelt to snap and that was 4 years ago. He was nice enough to repair the engine.

Wear and tear only raring its ugly head around 100k - changes include light bulbs/wheel bearing/brakes/CV boots (outer). 'tweaks': egr/dpf/exhaust/ecu remap

Currently running at 190bhp/309ft/lb and I get around 500 miles on a tank (mainly motorway miles). I'm covering around 16,000miles per year

At a cross road, thinking about upgrading the turbo/clutch (SRE performance) etc and bring the car to 250bhp and still enjoy the good fuel economy or look to the mid-range performance cars such as the S1 .........hmm.

you not had the joy of having to replace the N/S suspension top mount yet.

this would be a good poll style question for mileages

I've only had to replace the EGR cooler, so far. Clutch + Turbo remain strong

Hi newbie here, just my daily 04 TDI s-tronic BKD 195.000. Had it mot’d yesterday. Bought it 4 years ago as a stop gap, was not going to keep it long but it is so good on fuel and drives reasonably well for a banger lol

My A3 is nearly approaching 140k (2.0tdi CFFB). I was considering a remap to boost HP to 180/190. Bad or good move? Original clutch and turbo.

@Audi98
Good question I’ve been thinking the same with my A4 avant 2.0 TDI special Ed fast approaching 150k multitronic all original parts should I stay away from a remap or go for it?

I'm debating whether the turbo can manage with more boost etc. How's your car holding up? I just hit 144k - 2010 Black Edition

I have a 2011 2.0tdi CFFB, bought a year ago on 78k miles, now on 85k miles.
1 previous owner, fsh etc.. etc..
had emissions 'fix' closely followed by new egr (coincidence?)
I've just had the clutch replaced as it died on me, seemingly mis-shaped clutch 'fingers'? or something like that which possibly caused clutch to stick. all symptoms pointed to slave cylinder but that looked ok on the face of it. maybe is had a tiny leak? who knows.
Clicking clutch pedal that is now finally fixed after swapping the little white clip on the pedal.

and it has a slightly annoying thing whereby when coasting down a hill (thats when it will normally happen) it has a very slight/quick blip as if it's holding back or something then fine after? (thinking that might be something to do with the emissions thing mabye? our brand new work fiesta van does similar?) just an odd feeling.

None mechanical issues:
Replaced alarm after it started randomly going off
blower motor packed up

So all in all, in the past year/7k miles it's cost me more to keep on the road than my 180k mile 2004 a4 tdi :-( gutted.
Just hoping it behaves for me now.
