Thought I'd start a new thread to keep everyone up to speed with what's happening.
Back story, going to work and going through a roundabout heading for the second exit. Old boy decided he was going to enter the roundabout at the first junction without stopping for me to pass. Front end damage localised to the nearside. Got a courtesy car within 24hrs. Big shout out to Adrian flux insurance. Got to see the car this morning. Front end removed and work ongoing. Surprisingly big list of replacement items. Note for all the drivers out there with modified but not declared mods. Get them registered. I'd of been screwed if I hadn't declared. It's not that much more to get a modified insurance through Adrian flux. A few pics below of progress. Will be updating as soon as I know more.

Mindless drivers, and we're the ones to suffer.

S3 looks great in Green.

Hoping the body shop does a good job! Can never understand those who don't declare mods, only going to hurt yourself in the event of a claim! All my mods didn't increase it at all which surprised me, only an admin fee of £25.

Estimate of the 20th Feb, but I'm not bothered if it takes longer as long as it's right. I've got dashcam footage which is now with the insurance. So goes a ways to showing in my favour. I reckon I hit him at 15mph. Once its seen in my favour I'll post the footage.

If you have to have an accident that looks like one of the better ones..........it appears to be bolt off bolt on with new bits.

At least the old duffer can't use the "I never saw you" line! lol

I've said it before and I'll say it again...what a brilliant colour!

Hope you get it all sorted soon.

At least you're OK, the car will be fixed but it's harder to fix people!

Ahhh no nothing performance wise but have still seen people's premiums go up for some of the mods I've done and I wouldn't be surprised if mine had gone up considering my age. Sorry to get your hopes up!

How the hell did the other driver miss a bright green car!?!?
Glad you are ok. Doesn’t look too bad.

Clearly not your fault, person already in the roundabout has right of way

Hmm...I do think you were a bit quick off the mark, but you were on the roundabout first and the duffer in the Jag should have been more aware of you. It's not as if you're in a dark, hard to see motor !!

End of the day, Jags fault.

Dash cam footage always appears closer than reality.

Quick off the line or not, it’s the Jag’s fault

Did he claim he didn’t see you because of the 4x4 & trailer?

Dashcam paid for itself that day.

Also the earlier part of the footage shows you coming up the roundabout sensibly with decent gap to car in front and not just diving straight in.

Looking at the pics, are your nearside A frame and front passenger door ok as it looks as though the wing crunched into them as it deformed?

Jags fault. you were quick off the mark but not exactly launching out the roundabout so jag should have been more aware. broad daylight, bright green car and Audi bright DRLs on the car there’s no way he could miss you.
He was probably annoyed/impatient at the white car in front of him being a bit overly cautious.

At 1st I thought you were lucky then but watching 2nd time around you were clearly on the roundabout in advance of the Jaaaaag

As others have said, you were quick of the mark but far from being "dangerous driving". So there was 0 chance the Jag was going to make it, his fault all day and twice on Sunday!
Even if you weren't quick of the mark I couldn't see the result being any different.

I don't think the **** in the jag slowed at all never mind having a look to check it was clear .
I hope you are getting a good car while the green demon is in the shop.

That is a bit of understatement - I thought he had parked up there, the driver seem to wait for at least two cars where there was no need.

I agree. The law is clear, give way to the right.

Quick update. It's back together. Few small snags being ironed out. Full detail of the paintwork in the next few days. Been a long month.

I take your car is on the insurance register now..:frown new:
What sort of paper work have the insurance company given you regarding which category of repair they have given you .

It won't be on the insurance register unless it was a write off will it It will have been recorded somewhere but it wasn't a total loss.

Yet another update. Got my car back today only for it to have several issues. I get in the car, it shows the bonnet open. I pop it and close it. No good. Get them out and they mess with the latches. All good. Inside of the car looks like it's been through a field. Boot marks and dirt on all the door trim, bonnet latch trim. Turn the car on. Engine management light. Turns out to be lamda sensor. Maybe my sports cat. Gets cleared all good. Take car away. Stop/ start not working. I hate it at the best of times. Needs to go to Audi to be looked at.
Have a look round the car at home.
Bonnet is not sitting level drivers side is raised at the hinge
Passenger door where the wing had touched still had the paint chip all be it painted over.
Bonnet open came on again.
Alloy wheel which I thought was being replaced was refurbed by a blind monkey. Chips all over, as if they'd gone at the diamond cut to vigorously.
Goes back, he takes pictures. He asks if I'll live with it and he'll order parts and see if he can get a new alloy through insurance. Says ok goes home.
Thought I'd check out the machine polish I payed them £360 for. Bit shocked to see under torch light as it's a dull overcast day, that it was exactly the same as it went in. Called them and he said it's been machine polished but that it. I think a bit of miss communication. I was under the impression that all the fine marring would be machined out. Nope, just a polish. So £360 for what I've done myself in the past.
Get in the car, turns it on and low and behold my dipped beam on the side that was bumped has failed. It's a new cluster.
On the phone again. I asked to bring it In as it's no use to me with one headlight. So they're keeping it to get it sorted.
He said he would speak to the body shop guys see if theres anything they can do with the paint polish.
To top it all off I handed back a 69 plate 4 series coupe and I left with a skoda fabia. Receptionist says bring it back as you find it. No smoking or pets. I got in it and to me it stank of wet dog. 18 plate. Inside looked more like a £500 rot box. Seats were all stained. Car was a mess. I'll catch a break at some point. Sorry for the rant.
