What have you done to your 8V today?

Looks great . Did you change the whole back box or cut tails and add twins to existing

Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
I changed the back box from oem to Ulter Sport (a saloon version, so the exhaust pipes should be modified to fit a sportback), then cut the Ulter Sport oval twin tails to add the 3.5" round twins from ebay.

Got the S3 detailed and coated together with a friend - love the result! :)

The car is now 2.5 years old and has never been polished. It just shows how much hand wash only means ;)

Back to Audi for the 3rd time they can't seem too be able fix the drivetrain fault. I have now started the discussion about buying it back..... really bored of it all now. Been in and out since the 28th of Nov. Can't even trade it in if it doesn't drive lol

I gave them nearly the most eco car they have and they gave me the most uneconomic car they had.... an A4 50 TDI Quattro lol

jeeze. Thats a nightmare. You will lost all confidence in it :sorry:
Yes indeed especially as I have now learnt because the 12v system charges off the High Voltage system if the car does this you can only drive it on petrol only for as long as the 12v battery lasts, which I've been told is only a few miles !

Replaced the black and silver air vents for the OEM red ones.

Finally added the 3 way speaker system to my A3 Sportback. The photo is not complete, still work in progress. Already had the A.S.S retrofitted, but lacked that richness in the sound.

Very nice touch, and also very expensive!

Q2 air vents (with mod. The internal part are from mine oem vents to save telescope function) and red part from aliexpress... not really expensive mod!

What size speaker is the middle one? I want to add it to my a.s.s., however, not sure if stock internal amp can pushes enough power to support.

Just got myself a set of these last week! Stopped at a petrol station the other day to pump up my tyres and left the original caps right there on the ground and drove off...muppet

For a while now I've had a knocking and vibration on the car. I had a couple of people in the back and they thought it was either the passenger seat or something in the B pillar. Also I thought my exhaust just didnt sound right. I've got an APR downpipe, sports cat and cat back milltek. So its loud and brash anyway, but once you've had something for a while you tune into how it sounds in certain gears and at certain revs and acceleration. I started getting a knocking from somewhere around the B pillar on uneven roads, so every road in the southwest!. with a horrendous / vibration resonance on cold start and at 2500 to 3000 revs in fourth gear acceleration. Finally tracking it down to a loose exhaust hanger bolt just below the front of the rear seat, and I mean loose! I thought i had the wrong size socket initially. You can just see a bit of shine on the metal below the bolt head where it's been moving. How long till it finally parted ways with the car is anyones guess. Its had three white knuckle torque applied. So hopefully wont go anywhere any time soon. Will be getting some thread lock and applying it too. Just not today. Test drive done and all good.

I recently purchased a set of these. All I can say is wow! Such a smooth and comfortable ride! The grip is epic as well, in the wet it's especially noticeable :). I came from Pirellis mind.
How the rim protection compared to the Pirelli’s? I need a new set and trying to get away from the P’s

Doh...what happened?

Did it shoot a load of windscreen juice out from the headlight washer too?

Hopefully it's just the bottle and not the radiator. Luckily I'm fully insured for my mods.

Damn, sad to see, hope you're okay mate. Was it your own fault? :boxing:
He pulled out of his junction I was headed for the next Junction off the roundabout. Old boy said he thought he had more time! I had no where to go. Need to review my dashcam footage.

Oh no! Gutted to see this, hopefully dashcam can go some way in proving it wasn't your fault! Glad everyone is ok.

Gutted for you mate, proper gutted. This is why I purchased a dashcam for my S3, we own nice cars and people instantly think it's us at fault for driving like idiots but the dashcam doesn't lie.

Jeez! That's proper f**k'd up mate . Hope the damage isn't too bad. Had similar thing happen to me back in 92 guy pulled out in temporary roadworks junction .I had nowhere to go other than down the side of his car. Went over to give him a right fist and instantly stopped in my tracks as the poor guy was crying his eyes out:crying:. He admitted it was all his fault and insurance sorted the rest.
I hope your car is sorted very soon. Keep us all informed as to how it goes. At least no one was hurt:shrug:

Finally got my car back today after 2 months and 3 breakdowns ....

Apparently turned out the be the High Voltage side of the Aircon compressor !!!

Will see how long it lasts.

I have lost all confidence in Audi and the car and especially their ability to fix such a simple problem ... Compounded with all the other issues I’ve had, and most importantly if anything to do with the High Voltage system fails or produces an error code the car becomes underivable on petrol alone as it only lasts as long as the 12v battery has a charge !

My car was immobilised for 2 months because of an aircon compressor fault !!!!

Audi refused to buy the car back so unfortunately I will now have to get the lawyers involved .

They didn’t even leave anything it my car to say sorry after having it for 2 months !

So disappointing....

Got the good news today that my car is going to be repaired and is due to be completed by the 20th Feb. Subject to sourcing the genuine Audi parts and my aftermarket parts. Fingers crossed I get it back as good or better than before.

Good news.

I had a guy pull out on me whilst on my motorbike last spring. He insisted it was my fault but as it was on a roundabout and I wasn't going round with my knee down he is sorely mistaken. Wish I had a cam at the time as he was blatantly looking ahead and not to the right as that was the last thing I saw before I clipped him and went over the bars. Sadly it wrote off the bike and I suffered a fractured clavicle which I'm still receiving physio on after two operations. Still could have been worse but gutted about not having my bike back all the same.

S3 will get more runs though I guess so not all bad

The e-tron died again today.... back to Audi ...
4th time in 6weeks this time I did get to drive nearly 200miles though.....

Is there anyone from Audi on this forum really need to find someone who can make a sensible decision from their side ....

interesting. I’ve often thought the A.S.S lacked something in the middle. What parts did you get to upgrade?
