Does anyone know what the stock illuminated door sills looked like on an s3 prefacelift.

was there any difference between the ones found on the 3 door vs 5 door?
 
I've seen originals ok but prefer theses

i would expect the 3 door to be longer than the 5 door ones. Sure someone will correct me.

My last a6 had the lighting pack and it was all white leds. Forgot in the new gen cars they try and sell you rainbow colours lights to distract you even more while driving.

forgot about the big sounds to blow your windows out. Ahh those were the days. Probably why I’m half deaf or as the wife puts it selective hearing when I don’t want to listen to her.

if someone has images of the stock ones that would be great.

did they even make them from factory on the preface lift.

i'm aware of the battery powered ones you can buy from the audi catalog but am after the stock factory ones.

Yo we were using 12" subs equaliser's multiple amps. Crossovers it was a raw sound back then but also quality. spent more time Audio shops. Every thing was separate back then

12s?? Had a pair of 15s rocking 2 single channel 1000w amps. :wink:

Now I've a 10" sub running alongside existing sub and amp and using stock speakers none Bose system sounds sweet and I get sub base but it stays inside the car

Sorry that ring is mega huge and led from china old stock they have no idea audi changed font long time ago .. I contacted tons of chinese on aliex to update the logo ...
I had this logo below b4 and looks much better

I'm not interested how old the design is or what design mines been running nearly 4 years yes 4 years why would I want to change because of a new version. However I wouldn't be so disrespectful of how another persons mods there vehicle I would appreciate the fact that they did it in such a professional way so it looks good. Part of having life skills

Not trying to get involved in the argument, but you’re both wrong! Audi rings ie: Audi Beam are the only logo available on an A3 so anything outside of that will look pretty naff. Also to look professional also means that high quality will be needed. None of those examples in this thread have set my pants on fire! In fact all aliexpress or eBay puddle lights are shocking, Iv had them. Only way forward is to spend the cash and get genuine Audi ones. I know you guys will come back and ask why because yours are fine, but if you say that then you haven’t experienced or seen the Audi genuine ones up close.

OP: can’t really help with the sill lights but a google search threw up these below. I think these are correct as they are similar to my Q2 sill lights. They will shine white, so forget the red in this link below!

Am not wrong these lights are not original .. And chinese I don't know if they are blind or something or it takes another 5 years they realize .. I even sen them picture of new logo and told them I WANT THIS .. in projector .. seem to they can't just do it .. ??
Audi does these projector lights ?? are you sure?? original ? do you have link?

I think you need to check your English as a lot of meaning is being lost. All the links and fotos that you and the other chap have put on here are fake products trying to replicate Audi beams. They are rubbish. Just buy genuine.

Basically I want new audi logo on projection capito?? not that 80's d shape what is so difficult to you understand ?
They are not rubbish they work well same like orig and only naive would buy pair of lights for 100 bucks ..
I got pair ''quattro'' just for fiver tested and projects well.. No problems with them... just simple led 3 lenses and logo printed on rounded glass..

I tend to disagree mate I've seen them up close there ok I prefer a bit more again each to their own. There called mods for a reason if cash was limitless every body would be going to the main dealers. But that's not an option .

I ve puddle lights in my wing mirrors why would i pay silly money when i can enjoy replicating and knowing i made these. what we do to our vehicles is for our satisfaction and gratification i call my mods subtle changes not tacky my preference.

People have been modding their cars for decades with the progression of technology and cheap prices. it's made it easily avaible to every one I have sweeping indicators why because I can. Can you imagine if nobody modded there vehicle wheres the fun in that....just saying

Hey, thanks for this reply.

Thing is, the prefacelift has "s3" badges everywhere. seats, steering wheel etc. i think the sills should say "s3" too rather than just "s". i think the one you linked is for the facelift.

Unfortunately I think that’s the way Audi went with the S badging. I think @pburv has it right in his link. They seem like the pre-facelift sills.

No worries mate, each to their own. I agree with you actually, but the quality has to be there. We can’t just buy cheap replica Gucci shoes cos they look ok for 2 mins. By the time we get replacements, we would end up paying the same amount for replica Gucci’s and should have just got real ones! That’s all I’m saying. I went through 3 different versions of door puddle lights. All crap. Everyone raves about the Creed ones off eBay but they were just as bad as the £5 China ones! I was only happy with the Audi ones.

I really like that gecko one.
I have the Audi rings and the Quattro in the rear. Wish they sold the gecko one when I got mines.

I have the audi rings on my front doors. I presumed they were standard. I hate them! Would rather just have a light! Everybody comments on how tacky they are!!

They are only lenses with LEDs in them. Take them out, sell them on eBay and get clear lenses. Simple. Pretty sure you will make some cash out of it.

simple as that to do? I might pull them and swap until I sell the car as I don’t want to change it from it’s standard spec.
