8V FL Rear camera and rear PDC

Hi all

Currently have rear PDC from factory on a 8V FL
Understand noone can activate the PDC display on the MMI, other than Hazzy Dayz which requires a replacement module.

If a rear view camera is installed, will the rear PDC Display be shown as well as the gridlines of the camera?

nope. I got the rear camera retrofitted by @DJAlix on here and only ways are hazzydays way or get front sensors to get the PDC lines.
Hoping someone will figure it out soon.

Need new supporting hardware also. Should also get a new internal button panel.

Nothing to reverse engineer, just retrofit an 8K module

this is my old 8K module. It displays the front and rear markers and trajectory but you need the front sensors and speaker for it to work.

You can get the overlay up for rears only if you go non oem camera which in my opinion is better as fills the entire screen and loiks identical in the boot handle .

Nothing to reverse engineer, just retrofit an 8K module

tried that and the screen just shows errors as there’s no front sensors. Had the module from my mates Seat.
Trying to figure out a way to get the display with just the rear sensors.

Guessing you just plugged it in without re-parameterising....

Only got vcds so can’t re-parameterise it.
Is this something you can do if I send you the right module?

The screen looks like from a Prefaclift car. This is easy to activate the OPS. Its the Facelift which has the issues.

Saw your video on YouTube regarding Hacks being done to get items working on a car only to lose the functionality if you have an update performed at a VAG dealership for warranty purposes.
Also saw this thread which is of interest as Reverse Park Camera addition is on my to do list. My S3 is 2020MY and has PDC as part of Tech Pack Advanced but I was unable to specify Reverse Park Camera at point of build as Audi did not make the option available. Challenged this at the time with the dealer but definitely not available to order to be built that way.
So question for you if you would be kind enough to help is;
1. Can I have a legitimate RPC fitted?
2. Would it remain coded if my car was to have an Audi dealer do any programming/coding?
3. Could you do it and the obvious, how much please?

While some items can be retrofit legitimately, ie installed and then added to your vehicles design database, a reversing camera is not such an item. The retrofit however does not require any "hacking" in order to work, just conventional coding and adaptation + physical installation. This and any coding related modification, for example beep on lock or mirror dip in reverse gear, has the potential to be wiped during any Audi service procedure or software update because said modifications are not recorded. Nothing anyone can do about this, its the nature of the game. I offer a free return to base re-coding service for retrofits, and ask a small admin charge for software modifications.

Not for the A3.

Yes and no, all depends on what works were being done for example if your MMI was updated then the camera would need to be reconfigured. If you had an update to your gearbox then no retrofit should be touched.

3. Could you do it and the obvious, how much please?

£395 to £445 depending on your vehicle and specification for High Line Camera (top of the range). Genuine Parts with 2 years warranty.

I can provide Reg No or VIN or both as required and happy to pay a deposit as and when needed. I live in Norfolk and would like to drive down to have it done with you and return same day if this is feasible assuming I arrived no later than 10.30am on the pre arranged day?
