Went to the local parts place for service bits for my wife's car. Thought I'd see if they could get front discs and pads for mine while I was there.
Guy said they couldn't get the discs but the pads were £28. I said this must surely be for one pad but he told me the computer said 8 pads and the numbers matched with Audi's part number.
The pic he showed me on his screen had the wavey discs so I'm guessing it's right but at £28 these must be crap, mustn't they?
Does the matching part number just mean they'll fit?

Yes they will be *****. You can always get cheap pattern brake parts. Buy any RS car and you need to accept that you will have to pay the RS tax.
Stick with quality parts . I believe the OE pads are Brembo items. You can probably source Brembo pads the same spec as the OE items at half the price .

These Brembo pads look similar to the OE parts.

Yeah I'm happy with the standard brakes on mine. Thought there's no way pads at under £4 each will be any good but wanted to check the on here to make sure.
Thanks for those links, I will be needing to do the fronts in the near future.

Eurocarparts now stock Brembo pads for the rs3 and seem to have a 50% off sale every other week so potentially £112.50 for a set

@RS03_SEN @Count Drunkula Carparts for less is the on line trading part of ECP. It is pretty much always cheaper than ECP Even when ECP has a 50% sale CP4L will be cheaper as there starting prices are lower and they increase their discount to around 25%.
ECP with 37% discount is £141

CP4L with 17% discount £124

Not suggesting the OP is doing it but some people buy a RS then skimp on the parts and maintenance ... crazy imho.

No, I wouldn't buy them unless they were a good brand. My wife's Micra pads cost more than they were quoting for mine.
I drive pretty fast a fair bit of the time so try to make sure everything works as it should.
