Hello everyone,,
Some twunt came too close & whacked my mirror, breaking the glass, and the indicator led. I ordered a new one, but when I went to collect it, it was the wrong one, although it is the part number for same. The top image with the bit on the side is what I was given, but I’m after the one shown in my other picture, which is just a straight led..

Anyone possibly help with a part number?

Thanks in advance

Thats the right one as pictured above.

You need to remove the mirror glass, plastic housing, the motor adjuster and then you can get the indicator out.

Little fiddly, but pretty good for the DIY'r....just look up where the plastic clips are you need to push back to release the plastic housing

This is how I installed my sweeping indicators....

It is a very fiddly job

As advised, it appears correct, the area you can't see on yours that you can see on the replacement, is hidden behind the mirror cover, just strip down & you'll see.

Mate I have a pair of these if you want? Off my 2011 S-line A4 B8.
Fully working, I just replaced them with the dynamic ones.

My bad, I missed the part you already purchased a new one.

In that case, a plastic trim removal set of tools is your friend here, just take it easy and slow and you'll be fine.

Where did you pick up your dynamic ones from?

Happy with the quality?
