Clutch master cylinder

Have always had a very short stroke on clutch pedal ,now am struggling to engage gears . Suspect worn (out) m/cyl. Looks like pig of job to do . Any tips please . Cars mileage is 201000
W reg 2000 .

Was it a bit of a struggle to disconnect fluid pipes with manifold on .

Was it a bit of a struggle to disconnect fluid pipes with manifold on .

For me no as I don't have a 1.8t in my S3 but you will need to remove the top charge pipe to gain a bit more room to move down there I think
