I am due to have my car MRC Stage 1 next week but when I spoke to my insurance company (LV) they said the remap would take my policy from £470 to £1800 per year!!!!! Who are any of you using as I think this is taking the p...?

I'm with LV (on an S3) and they've always been great with mods.
Have you tried running it through as a fresh quote online and ticking the engine map box in modifications?

I’m with flux direct gave me a great price on all the work I’ve had done definitely worth a call to them

Esure are usually pretty good.

I've gone with Admiral. I have a Stage 1 pre-face-lift and it hardly changed my insurance as it currently costs me £347 because it was within a certain percentage of the factory quoted bhp.

Hello, Yes we can cover Northern Ireland - just R.O.I we cannot.

By all means give us a try and let me know if you require assistance.

Regards,

Dan

Many thanks Dan. Will give you a shout when my current cover is up. Hoping to go MRC stage 1 later this year.

Reis Motorsport have been great with me. Cheapest by around 40% and only charged me £11 per year to add springs and secondary decats on. IIRC it was £80/year extra for me for a stage 1 remap when i enquired.

£800/year fully comp, 26, 6 years no claims.
