what do you guys reckon best all round tyres for sq5.
Thanks

Recently got a set of 21" Michelin PS4 SUVs fitted which feel a lot better than the original Pirellis, hopefully they'll last longer, cost the best part of £1k though.
A couple of years back I bought a lightly used set of genuine Audi 20s with Dunlop mud/snow tyres for winter use, bit of a bargain at £800 but make a huge difference in the snow.

Same, just waiting for the snow to try 'em:

SQ5 summer winter tyres

And Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 255/40 R21 Y (12) XL R01 for summer use - and no complaints at all, can't fault 'em :racer:

I have the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT on the back and Pirelli P Zero on the front as that's how it came from Audi.
I would say the Pirelli's have a far better rim protector than the dunlops and I will now be replacing the dunlops with the pirelli's over the winter while they are off the car.
Not that I park up to the kerb though but you cant be too careful!

Bought a full set of Goodyear Eagles in September (approx £880 fitted) after a long discussion with my local tyre supplier and comparing the various brands on offer. Had been running Pirreli's before. The Goodyears are noticeably quieter and the ride/steering response is much better. Very happy with them overall. I managed to squeeze 27k out of the Pirreli's over 3 years so I'm hoping for similar results from the Goodyears.

You won't be disappointed, Beast from the East was a doddle:yes:

A long time believer in winter tyres, Steve; starting winter 1999 with a GSi3000 and a set of Vredestein's. Both our RS3 and TT have been fitted with Vredestein Wintrac Xtream's for several years; our A1 for the last 2-years was on TOYO Snowprox, but the A1's sold on now swapped for the SQ5 on the Dunlop's in which I have every confidence, thanking you...

As above close to a grand for a set of 4. Black circles sometimes have discount on set's of 2 or 4.

Yep, order Goodyear F1 SUV 255/40/21 from tyreSavings.com. £800 which includes fitting, balancing and nitrogen filled. Getting this fitted in the new year.

Well just car is sat in the garage now waiting to have 2 new tyres fitted. Puncture in one that's not repairable so £200.00 each for factory spec Pirelli. Will it be ok just changing the 2 on the same rear axle as the front two tyres are still on 4mm?.

As far as I’m aware, you’ll have no problem just changing the two rear tyres.....An expensive start to the New Year for you, @rs3 S :whistle2:

Yes, RS3 S: as AllanG said, just change the tyres on each axle together/as a pair, just to be safe: front to rear no bother

..............not the best start. Warning flashed up on the dash due to low pressure & i could not see anything but at the garage they showed me & a huge screw stuck on the inside shoulder so in the area that can't be repaired. Thanks for the replies.

Looking for 4 new Dunlop Winter Sport 3D in 20” 255 45

Black circles have them fitted for £840....

Anyone seen cheaper anywhere or any deals recently?

Thanks
