Ok so my passenger side door mirror got hit it still works no brakes no cracks the heat still works and even the anti dazzle still works but it’s lost a couple of clips so it does not stay on I don’t want to glue it as I would never get it off but I presume it’s one bit but can’t find any part numbers on it and an eBay search there are loads but done seem to have the auto dip / auto anti dazzle

Would any one know the part numbers it’s form a 2012 plate A3 s line

The right hand anti dazzle glass is 8F0 857 536G and left hand I believe is: 8F0 857 535 G
They are quite expensive, you could replace with a non-anti-dazzle.

I know you like the anti dazzle because you have it optioned. The replacement cost is ridiculous. ask yourself if you really need that option. if not then I would just get the not dazzle or if inclined the asymmmetric which really makes changing lanes easier. BTW that sucks

Looking to do a modification on the one i got and secure another way :) i really love the feature so dont want to loose it unless i have to

Get a regular mirror and swap the rear plastic mounts over.

Using Heat and Molybdenum wire separate the glass.

YouTube search screen separation with Molybdenum wire, the same principles apply
