Mfsw retro fit

Hi i have brought a 4 spoke mfsw, i have a Chinese type fake rnes audi stereo, what else do i need to get the steering controls to work, at the moment sw is plugged in and not getting any ligbts on the controls, i thought they would at least light up. Thanks

Plug your VCDS cable and enable it in the coding and update your steering control module accordingly. Use the search function in google and this forum to figure it out.

Grab yourself a copy of VCDS and code your steeringwheel module. Read through my HOW-TO if you need to retrofit the wheel and such..

The coding is;

[16-Steeringwheel]
[Coding-07]
x?xxx: 0= steeringwheel without multi-function

• 1= 3-spoke without multifunction
• 2= 4-spoke with radio multi function
• 3= 4-spoke with radio and telephone multi function
• 4= 4-spoke with radio, telephone and speech multi function

Hi sorry for the late reply i forgot all about my post! Ive grabbed my self a vagcom and i seem to have the right control module, my horn works so something must be right? I could do with a step by step for coding as i have no idea ‍ thanks everyone
