Surprise surprise!
I couldn't understand Audi's logic for making the S models diesel in the first place.
However, every cloud and all that, if someone was wanting one then maybe soon they can grab a bargain.

My mates dad got rid of his 2017 S5 for a 69 plate S7 and he’s not a fan apparently.

He had a whole load of problems with the S5, mostly electrical and spent more time in the garage than on his drive.

He’s happy it’s fast but misses the sound and from what I’ve been told is a bit underwhelmed by the lack of a ‘premium feel’ in the cabin

Local dealer says there is barely any interest in the new diesel S models especially the S6 and S7. Anyone seen one in the wild?
Given you can snag an ex demo for 41k things must be bleak!

To be fair the S6 never sold very well. Since 2012 they only sold 700 or so (they sold 2,800 RS6s in the same time). There are 68 of the new one already registered for its first quarter.

Quite true but 41k for a few months old with 2k on the clock is not a good sign is it.

Not great but not crazy, half of that drop is probably due to the huge finance contributions they’re offer.

Will be interesting to see what the values are doing at the 2-3 year mark when PCP terms come to an end.

It’s part of the reason I’m in the process of leaving Audi after 12 continuous years. Always fancied a Q5 (need a towing vehicle next year) but decided I need to keep the performance so test drove the SQ5 which has changed back to diesel. Hated the extremely fake sound. Went to test the X3 purely as a comparison initially. Difference is BMW do a diesel and petrol version. Bought the petrol one for various reasons, but the sound was immense.

I've one seen a S4 TDI.

The sound in the BMW is also fake.

i looked at the S6 as I currently have a 2012 bitdi and I`m not going down in power lol prices seem very varied on the S6 atm anywhere from 44k to 76k for an avant version. think i`ll wait a while
