Badges...Chrome or Black?

What’s people’s thoughts on badges? Personally I’m a fan of chrome but I’ve got to say some Audi’s sporting the black badges are growing on me! What’s your thoughts?

For me, it depends on the colour of the car.
I thought about black rings for my Bitdi, but it looks odd, black on black.
Black Audi’s must have Chrome, but white or silver cars, black rings look good.

I did too, but the wife thinks I’m an emo with Black edition and black rings, so I stuck with the chrome.
I like the black rings on the rear though, especially on grey/white/red.

Also black rings aren’t as bad as glowing rings.
I’ve seen one or two of those, tacky as.....

I think the rings need to be chrome on the front otherwise it looks like the badge is missing.

yes i agree - went top the trouble of fitting the black ones, then decided i didn't like it so replaced the originals ...... It reminded me of the feeling i get when you see a Skoda in that awful "primer" colour - unfinished

I was thinking about putting black rings on the back of my Avant as it’s Floret silver & I’ve sort of gone for a black & silver look.

That’s exactly what it makes you think even if the car isn’t.

I think I’m going to do the same on mine. As for the other badges in black it looks much better debadged. Mine came factory debadged

no issues on the rear just polished it a few times with a cutting fluid then a good layer a wax

What size have people bought? eBay is showing either 193mm or 216mm long for the rear. Ones appears smaller and one larger than my original.

I would just debadge the rest mate.

Have you used any adhesive to stick the new rings on or just double sided tape? Not sure how much I trust the tape.

I just used the sticky back stuff it came with. It was branded 3M and has held well.

Hi folks, new member here and new to Audi’s bit have bought myself a bitdi.

I have the black rings on the front but undecided whether to de-badge the rear completely or go black rings there also.
Does anyone have a link to the correct size rings for sale anywhere in black please?

Thanks. Have the wheels black as well so the back rings are the only thing left chrome really.

Looks way better than having the badges on. I really like an understated but not standard look. And your black rings does that.
