Gyeon Wet Coat Question

Finished my car with GWC after a wash on Monday. The car is ceramic coated so it was really just done to produce some beading.
I rinsed off immediately as per the instructions. Got in the car this morning (not driven it since Monday) and noticed what look like white spots on the windscreen. The paintwork seems Ok as far as i can tell.

I'm wondering if I haven't rinsed the screen properly and this is the result.

Any thoughts - and suggestions as to how to fix ?

Normal with Wetcoat or CarPro Hydro2. And I am sure the rest of the car will have the white spots as well, it's just that you can tell... The only way to avoid these is by applying Wetcoat/Hydro2 using a MF.

Doesn't having to apply with MF kinda defeat the point of Wet Coat ie it's a spray on and so much quicker than hand application ? I'd also hesitate to apply it other than as per the maker's instructions.
Any ideas for a fix ?

How are you applying WC, i.e. how much product are you using. I noticed that the spots are created only if you are either using too much product or not JWing it thoroughly afterwards.

A panel by panel application and wash 2-3 mins afterwards is the best way of using it, which also helps in no water spots.

I never had a problem with it. I would sugest you maybe didn't rinse it off enough?. Good quality glass cleaner should sort it.

Expert opinion lol spots as such only happens when a drying towel ain't used afterwards or applying to warm panels or in direct sunlight
Or you've not shook the bottle enough prior to application
Spots are easily removed with a cloth and quick Detailer

In future panel by panel is the answer.

I have a controversial way of using WetCoat, I got it from Jon at the Forensic Detailing Channel.
I wash and dry the car like normal, then I take a good microfibre applicator and put it in a jug of water to soak it, wring it out so it's not dripping and spray WC onto the applicator, apply to panel then lightly (not buff) wipe away the water with a soft towel.
WC seems much slicker, and seems to last longer this way. It also means I can control it going on my glass which I don't like.

How often do you guys use stuff like wet coat, hydro etc?
One of my mates pretty much uses it every wash and I maybe use it once a month or so, when water doesn’t bead the way I like.
Is there any bad effects of layering the stuff?

Just put plenty of wet coat on leave on for a minute or two then rinse off standing further away than when rinsing shampoo off the car etc etc chase it around the panels with the lance rather blasting it straight off

Just To add wet coat performs better on top a new layer of wax etc etc giving more hydrophobidity

The cars the Magnet wet coat is the metal fileings the more you spread it the better the results

I use wet coat and as said, stand further way when rinsing. You may of tried this Gyeon prouct, Bathe+? I find it better than wet coat, especially if you wash, rinse, then spot the wash mit, wipe over, and rinse again. plus its more economicle

What's you take on Bouncer's new product instead of Wet Coat ?

Spent all day yesterday cleaning the car when the weather was dry & warmish - only to have it trashed with the weather today & car looks like it has been through a Rally Stage after a 30 mile drive so looking for a winter fix hence question.

Very quick fixes in this type of application these types Si02 products,they're all very very similar in performance...lot of companies do these now,previously it was only the Koreans....

So if using say Bouncers Si gloss enhancer - shoving on some 'watery foam Si 'will have the same effect - think Autoglym are pushing the easy option - getting the feeling it maybe a Rain coat + Sponge to keep the car clean ( especially seeing the photos of your S3 )

Autoglyms Seal and shine is a Hydrophobic snowfoam
Bouncers Si is a quick Detailer which has less hydrophobic properties
Bouncers HSF is the exact same as autoglyms seal and shine both foam on application gyeon wet,carpro hydrolite2 are just the same but with slightly different application l have used them both

Just saw this ^^^ did mine again today, so about 2 months. Noticed the other day it wasn't doing very much, hence why I did it today! It started raining about 10 mins back, so I went out and looked at the car:

I’ve been finding some of these spray and rinse waxes/sealants seems to need a good scrub after a few weeks.
Gave the mrs car a quick wash, foam rinse then wash with megs gold class, and that’s got the turtle wax stuff on it at the moment and thought the beading was a bit meh along the side of the car where the most muck accumulates compared to the roof and bonnet. then thought it could be the sealant is cogged up with crap. Had some autosmart tfr left so sprayed it along the sides and let it dwell for a few minutes then gave it a quick wipe down and rinse. The nice beading/sheeting came back after the tfr.
Was going to give it another spray of the stuff as well if that didn’t work so sometimes it’s not the sealants aren’t working it’s the stuff is clogged with traffic film and other crap in the roads.
Also means I need to stock up on some citrus pre wash or some other tfr as I don’t get the autosmart stuff cheap anymore.

Handy to know, I have some citrus pre wash left to use up, so I'll try that next time, although I'm not a fan of it and wouldn't buy it again! I tend to use Bilt Hamber for a quick wash without touching the car.
