I normally favour chrome over the black rubber look but that strip is hideous!
Well those pictures certainly have not inspired confidence from what was already low expectations based on what we've seen so far.
Then Buy the saloon when it arrives far far better looking car in every way
But not as practical.

Only in your opinion mate
I really like the sportback and don't have any issues with 'hatch looks' at all - be it an A3 or Golf or A Class.
The saloons do look good too - but in either form, I am yet to be convinced by the new Audi ... lets hope the final production variants change our views ... otherwise many of us will be on to pastures new with another brand.

Fact not opinion mate remember lve had both sportback and saloon and looking back my sportback was probably the least attractive looking car l have had, so its not that difficult for Audi to improve the sportback looks and l am sure that's what they'll do
All of you who have slated the above images really should hold your opinions until the car is revealed
Sure it won't dissapoint
Fact to YOU ... not necessarily all of us lol
I thought you were well & truly on the BMW band wagon and stated how this would be your last Audi for a while ?
"sure it won't dissapoint" is a VERY bold statement
Audi cant afford for the new A3 to dissapoint mate
All this will happen outside warranty.I have to be very frank on this, most new car releases in the last two years have been very disappointing to my eyes as far as the dash is concerned. The move to touchscreen displays for the most part look awful, if they are stuck above the dashboard horizontal line. Some manufacturers have done this well, Porsche as an example. But most need to go back to design school and ease of executing basic functions, such as changing seat positioning etc. Do not put these functions on a touchscreen. That is a cheap way to execute those functions. Also they should not be done whilst the vehicle is moving. Buttons, switches and knobs, which are tactile, perform these basic functions very well but are more costly than a touchscreen. Plus, all is not lost when one malfunctions, with a touchscreen, darkness results on malfunction of all screen functions. Plus not cheap to replace the whole unit.
So you've come to accept lower quality plastic trims in a expensive carAs I mentioned in my post above. Go to the RSQ3 video and go to 2:45 minutes. The interior is super nice! compare it to the standard Q3 and it looks amazing. I think its even got an alcantara dash but I might be wrong. Also, many have stated the A1,Q2 & Q3 are horrid and plasticky, but that's the way things are now! If you want a quality interior then you have to spec it! time moves on! options change! On another note, the RSQ3 Sportback looks amazing.

And you think Alcantara/Microfiber is nice!!!the cheapest material to manufacture for any cars interior....and not all car makers interiors have taken a backward step in quality Volvo and BMW are 2 of them
Both are ****** ugly, whats the point in these super fast SUVs, they handle terribly, built purely for posing or distributing contraband....
So, there should be no entry level? let's compare Audi to Apple. Should there be just 1 expensive phone/car? no cheaper iPhone 11? no iPhone 11 pro?no cheap iPad? Audi are going the same route as every single product on the market! Have you never stepped in a bog standard Volvo or BMW? The XC40 is shocking in low spec trim, I had one for 24hrs! You are paying for the badge more than ever now, but this is the same with all products, not just cars.

Bravo! I hate SUVs. **** and pointless for most of the people who own them. Must protect Penelope & Quentin whilst I drop them off at nursery.
Ha ha I like it

Or a middle finger!! Only thing I will say about looks wise is that my Q2 has had waaaaayyyyyyy more compliments compared to a lot of cars I have had, including the A3. But I know I’ll not win anyone over on the A3 section of this forum!!

Best off buying a Mk4 Focus then... ;-)As long as the steering wheel feels good to hold, the seats are comfy and supportive and the car is reliable and good to drive I couldn't care less if the surfaces I'll never touch are soft or not.
I was looking at the Q3 RS video's yesterday, and was all ready to hate this car. I've seen an sat in Q3's at my local dealership, and hated both the interior and exterior designs. I have to say that the Q3 RS does look better than I expected it to. I even quite like the coupe version (just not in Frog Green). Looks far better than the standard versions, which for the price, I suppose it should do.
I get the small SUV thing too. I owned a MK1 Tiguan R 170 TDI bought new in 2010. It was a very good car. Never got stuck in the snow (when we had those 2 years of heavy snow) and waded through flooded roads while most cars couldn't. It had a very good driving position, and was easier to get in and out of. For what it was it handled surprisingly well too. I would deffo consider another one.
I'm currently in possession of a Hyundia Tuscon, AWD 185 TDI and where the Tiguan was tight and handled pretty well, this thing doesn't. But the GF likes driving it.
But yeah, I don't get the super fast SUV thing. I hated the previous Q3 RS, and would take an RS3 over the Q3 RS any day. But for some strange reason, if VW stuck a Golf R engine into the Tiguan, I would be interested.
But I think the appeal of the Tiguan is that it is a very good looking SUV compared to most of them on the road. And if they did a Golf R engine version, it would still look pretty much the same. All these super fast SUV try too hard. Just look at all the fake vents, angles, slashes etc on the Q3 RS. It screams "Look at me" which I don't want. But I'm sure the Q3 RS will sell well, and will be seen accelerating hard down the local high street, popping and parping away in doing so. Not for me.
I own a RSQ3,and I love it. Got a history of hot hatches, from mk2 Gti,thru mkv Gti,to an R32 which I had for over 8yrs as I loved it so much. All I can say is that the RS is a fine car,and all the hate out there from the “in crowd” most of whom I doubt have ever ever driven one cracks me up It’s fast, practical, reasonably economical for the power it delivers, and rare, which I love! Most folk are unaware it even exists, unlike say a Golf R which I’m sure is a good car,but is like doggy-doo......it’s on every street corner! Let the haters hate I say,I’ll continue to have a contented smile on my face as I drive my RS

To be fair they are not all bad, I like the X3 M40i, What I don’t like is the SUV’s which look like jacked up hatchbacks/saloons.
The new X3, X5, Ranger Rovers etc are all good looking cars, they look good without trying too hard.
Didn’t realise they had done an M, £70k!!!Yes, the X3 40i. Still on my list of possible next cars. It's a handsome looking car. Quick enough for most needs, and will get reasonable mpg given what it is. But then BMW have brought out the X3M. Now that for me is an X3 too many. Why do you want / need to go that fast in a X3? Great for the criminals. Big enough boot for all the swag. And it'll outrun most things Plod has got. I suspect owning one of these will be a short term thing, as it'll get nicked straight away.
I've seen a couple reviews on the X3M too. And both conclusions were that the X3 40i was the better car.
It’s so much easier getting kids in and out of a taller car. Also my parents are getting a bit older now and they struggle getting in and out of my s3 and my old a6. Much easier for them in a higher taller car/suv.
They are not just for Quentin and Penelope‘s nursery run
Didn’t realise they had done an M, £70k!!!
That’s bonkers
