Hi,will using an independent audi specialist garage for servicing invalidate warranty.have a facelift s3 and do not fancy using main dealer, regards

As long as they use Audi genuine parts and follow the Audi schedule it should be fine with warranty.

Only if the independent garage you are choosing has registered with Audi to have access to update it - I suspect the majority of garages don’t but you’ll need to ask them.

My A5 coupe is due it's second service next month, Audi wanted £421  an independant that I've used before when I had the S3 is doing it using genuine Audi parts for £198! :)

I asked Audi finance a question as I'll be handing the car back, this is the question and reply:

"If I have my Audi servicing at an Audi specialist and not an Audi main dealership, am I still OK to hand the car back and walk away at the end of my pcp agreement without incurring any additional charges regarding the servicing side?"

This was their reply:

"Good afternoon Mr X

Thank you for contacting Audi Financial Services.

In regards to having your vehicle serviced, the servicing does not need to take place at an Audi garage, we would always recommend using an Audi approved garage and genuine Audi approved parts are required.

If Audi approved parts are used this should not result in additional charges when handing the vehicle back."

So there you have it save a fortune and use an indy :)

If you search the forums around March 2017 I asked the same with regards to the warranty side when I had the S3 done...answer was the same: As long as genuine parts are used.

I'm using Martin at unit20 https://www.unit20.com/services

Yes that is correct, read some of the reviews he gets online, people travel for hours to use him! A few on here also use him :)

Don't be over concerned about the online update though, I sold the S3 to a sports car specialist and he was more than happy with just the old fashioned printed receipt of what had been done...and gave me £1,500 more than Audi had offered!

You can tell by his add when he was selling it that he liked it lol https://www.ctcsportscars.co.uk/vehicle-details/Audi-A3-U602/
"plus for your peace of mind the car has a complete service history"
