Frustrating video, he almost seems clueless about the cars. TTRS will always be naturally quicker given its weight and aero advantage yet he's pretending he doesn't know which way it's going to go.
No mention of the new cars with OPF that appear to be strangling performance too. (Certainly on launch for the TTRS). The RS3 should not be getting off the line quicker than the TTRS but yet they offer no explanation for it.

Words fail me. Launch control on these cars is fool proof... and yet Archie Hamilton still manages to **** it up.
I've owned PFL RS3 and TTRS, and had extended drives in FL RS3's. The TTRS should never lose off the line, OPF or not.

Archies taken his foot off the break on “Go...” IMO, so with the smallest amount of delay before it launches hard, the other lads already beaten him by releasing the break that bit sooner. Archie just hasn’t anticipated the small delay. My 2p
I've compared 0-100kmh times quite extensively and on a decent road tyre they are neck and neck through 1st gear on a standard car. The more power is added, (as you'd expect) the longer it takes until traction is no longer the limiting factor and the TTRS starts to pull away. At stg2 that's 80-90km/h.

LC on the GPF TTRS seems worse than before though as all the vids show them launching badly?

How come that extra 2 bhp helps the TT catch up again so quickly? Surely it can't be that much more aerodynamic/lighter??

Must be witchcraft as it's only 100kg lighter afaik! The pre GPF ttrs used to walk away from the RS3 from launch so something has happened to the new one.

They need to line up a GPF TTRSand RS3.
But then again there was the TOP gear episode where they did 3 drag races between the halo models from Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren. The result was different winner for each race. The conclusion was that it all depended on how well the car was launched.
