Help with sat nav please!!!

Hey guys as the title suggests I can't get the sat nav to work correctly.

It won't let me put a full post code in?? It works on locations ie Manchester Airport but won't allow a full postcode to be entered its all greyed out. I've tried it on old postcodes I know have been around a long time too.

Only had the car a few months. Does anyone know if this is just an update required or something more sinister. It has a 2014 maps dvd in the head unit.

Not sure if it's related but the aerial signal is poor for dab too.

That's normal, the old RNS-E won't accept full post code.

The DAB must be aftermarket, as DAB was not an option for RNS-E systems.

Ah I see. So dumb question but how are you supposed to actually use the sat nav if you can't put a full post code in?

This is a 2014 tt are you sure it didn't have dab? I think I've posted in correct section?

There's a 7 digit postcode hack dvd but I personally haven't used or advised others too use, but it's out there.

1000% sure. the RNS-E (MK2) you have pictured in the photo does not support DAB, it's only had a standard analog radio. Any DAB hardware that has been fitted to the car is from a third party supplier.

Insert the first part of the post code then enter the street name and number if you have one.

RNS-E is now a very old and obsolete system, and has been replace many times over the different MMI systems.

I see!! I think I'm just spoilt as I have a new q7 with the 4g hi or whatever it is and that's awesome. But not long had the tt. Its the wife's and she was moaning at not being able to use it.

You need the "AUDI RNS-E Navigation Plus 2015 European Map Update DVD 2 West Europe (UK) with FULL POSTCODE"

Purchased two discs with firmware update CD (very important!) back in June 2015 for: 1) my 2010 TT and 2) my 2011 RS3 and BOTH still working 100% perfectly.
