Audi Service Plan

Just received an email from Audi offering £468 for my first two services (2.0 TFSI) with the ability to spread the cost over 18 months, so £26 per month if I so wish. This covers the first service (Oil) and second serivce (Oil and inspection) only. I'm presuming any other consumables deemed in need of replacment will be charged on top.

Does this seem resonable?

Mine is £9.56 over three years equaling £344.16. Don't ask how Audi Finance came to this figure but I asked them to check on the price twice as I didn't believe them at first. No special deal either...

Easy answer, yes! I don't imagine any indy would get close to that for both services.

I've been tempted by a service plan as well but I think they change your service schedule from the 18,000 mile/2 years to 10,000/1 year. I was hoping to only need 1 service in my 3 year lease as i'll be doing less than 35,000 miles but i do like the idea of having a fixed price now.

I am not sure they do, the servicing schedule is based upon your use of the vehicle, not the service plan..

I made that assumption from this small print on the bottom of the Audi Service Plan website https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/service-plan.html.

I assumed that when they say All cars must be set to a fixed service regime that they would want to do it every year which is what put me off but i'm not clear on what this actually means. Be good if someone who has taken one out can confirm what happens?

I'm always on a fixed servicing regime anyway but my apologies as some of the content within that page I don't remember being there in the first place, thus it looks like Audi might have moved the goalposts a tad...

just had mine serviced by Audi (oil service) for £180 they said as its just under 3 years they offered it to me. this is the normal price for cars over 3 years

Hi I just joined and in the process of getting the 40 TFSI S Tronic, so doing research for the service schedule + costs. Does anyone have some sort of info about the service regime? I will only have the car from new and keep it 2 years (around 10k miles per year), so trying to find the best option in terms of cost.

You'll probably be looking at fixed service intervals, yearly https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/service-plans.html Unfortunately you won't get as good deal as I did at £9.56 a month over three years...

Thanks for the reply. I have seen in my documents the quote 11/mo for maintenance and 24/mo including tyres. For 19" and 20k miles in 2 years,are these any good

JCT 600 have some good deals on any service. You can spread the cost of a service over 3 months interest free or up to 9 months interest free i think but you put 25% down. Not bad if you have an S,RS or R8 model which i think aren't covered under a ''normal'' service plan at most main dealers. DEtails on JCT 600 main web site.

I think the maintenance part covers things such as brake pads and disks.

If you’re doing the mileage then it’s worth it for the £288 a year it’s going to cost you, especially with tyres included.

Ok that makes more sense, the usual wear and tear then.
But then I realised that the quote was following my lease profile so total is much more than i thought it was, so maybe just going to maintain myself. I asked listers Audi, they say it is 19k miles or 2 year and quoted £240 for the service so not bad all.

I’ve just come to the end of my service plan. I bought it when I bought the car new in September 2016. For £12 per month I’ve had 3 annual services (some of which consisted of an oil change only), an MOT and a brake fluid change. I think that’s value for money and I can’t say that I noticed the £12 each month. The cost must vary by model and timing because when we took out the same plan on my wife’s A3 cabrio in July 2017 it was £21 per month.

Mine ends in November 2019, £9.56 a month though just beats yours and it's good to hear from someone who got as good deal as I did, proof not a one off. Agreed, very good value for money especially when comparing it to the service plan for our 1.0l Fiesta...

I know yours was cheaper, cuke, as we compared notes soon after we’d got our A4’s. When I was handing over the key to the service advisor at my dealership, I noticed that the cost of the service was written on the paperwork that I was asked to sign. They had obviously forgotten, or not checked, that I have a service plan and the cost was going to be £180. The MOT was £49.99, so add whatever the cost of the brake fluid change was (which was not included in what I signed for) and I reckon I must have come out ahead, given that over the past year I have paid £144. What I don’t know is whether the cost in earlier years might have made up the shortfall. Anyway, I’m happy with my servicing costs over the past 3 years.

On a different note, I’ve decided to keep the A4 for another year so I bought a further 12 months’ warranty for £372. Again, I consider that good value for peace of mind as the likelihood of mechanical failure must increase as we enter year 4 of ownership. I made moves to trade it for a Volvo V60 back in June and July, but that came to nothing as neither of the 2 dealers I had on the case could provide a demonstrator with the engine I want. Hopefully, there will be more examples of that variant in circulation next summer when I’ll revisit the idea of trading in the A4.
