It is painful haha, I had my front end first then went back for the rest of the car later on when I saw first hand how good it was and had one stone chip too many on the sides.

I didn’t pay that much, I’ve paid high 3’s but for a long term investment it’s worth it.

If all goes to plan i will be upgrading next year so not worth it for me . Totally makes sense having it done if its a long term car .
I'd go the same route as you if i ever get it done front end first then the rest .

That clear film on the front is a very good idea. I absolutely love the rs3 in red.
I was looking at a cataluna (spelling) red before I got mine.

Yeah i wouldn't mind it done to be honest think its expensive tho .
I really like catalunya red and would consider it when i get a Rs3

Going rate for a front end is just under £2k, full car around £4500.

Yep it’s very expensive stuff, cost per metre is huge.

It’s also an absolute miracle worker, can’t be beaten for protection. Magic in front of your eyes when you watch sunlight cure any scratches. Worth it to keep OEM paint, cars are never the same after body shops.

This is a picture from the detailer's website which demonstrates what he does.



I had the complete front end done with the PPF Clear Film and the Cost for that plus the CARPRO Reserve Finest was $5,200.00 US Dollars.
I plan on keeping the RS3 so decided to have those things done for added protection and ease of up-keep.
If a person knew they were not going to be keeping the RS3 for a lot of years I would recommend spending the money.

The Tango Red Metallic is a deep red color not like the last years Catalunya Red which is an Orange Red.

In my case at my age I may be in my last Sports Sedan so I figure take all the (Preventive) measures up-front to protect it.
To me it's a pretty expensive machine so spending what it took to protect it just made sense.

It's a very-very striking car when seen in person.

Agreed on the color I would not have went with the Catalunya Red if that's what they offered for 2019.
When watching lots & lots of videos on the 2017-2018 RS3's in the Catalunya Red many of them looked like an Orange RS3.

The other color I might have gone with was the Glacier White Metallic with the Black-Optics-Package and the Black with Enhanced Red interior.

They are called 5 V spokes I believe, that I see on a b8 rs4. That’s when I knew I wanted them.
I have not seen them in a darker colour mate but that is not to say they are not available

Cheers mate, my wheels I coated with carbon collective platinum wheels. So my maintenance wash is just water and a wash mitt. That’s it

As promised... PFL Floret Silver Sportback with pretty much every option ticked. Always hated silver cars and said I'd never get one. Saw this one and changed my mind instantly!

Yeah floret silver is a very dark deep silver - almost mercury. I was sold on it the first time I saw it on a TTS. As noted it looks amazing with black pack & black alloys .. plus stays looking clean for much longer. I’d defo have this colour again I love it.

Before I bought the car I probably would have liked the sound of that swap, but after seeing it I fell in love with the colour. Would potentially consider a swap for Nardo though

I was quite fussy with options, it took me ages to find one with the right spec in a nice colour. This one has pretty much every option except the tech pack which I didn’t care about!
