Hi
Just got my Audi A4 59 plate. The only problem is i think the daytime running lights look naff. Them mutiple spot LEDs look cheap in my opinion. Is there a way to completely disable them?

Carista will let you adjust the drl brightness. Not sure if there's a minium setting tho as didn't look.

You could just unplug them but you will get a error on dash I think they look good imo.

Cheers man, new to the car. I’ll do this. Would look alot better if they were bright white instead of a yellowy colour! Seen a few posts showing that you have to take a stanley knive and cut the back of the headlight out to change the bulbs for the DRL’s. What a joke

I used the carista app and whacked the DRL brightness up to the max. They look pretty bright and white now.

I noticed when you wack up the brightness on the DRL's with carista the 'wink' function when indicating does not work as it did.
Also they tend to be more brighter than the headlamps lol

Am in Newcastle but dont have paid app anymore ran out last month . . .

Peterlee not to far you can do all you want to do in 5 mins . . .

Not really too far from me then.
I live in Peterlee.
I will gladly have a go for you for you if you drive up!
No charge

Just been out to play with carista and the only adjustability now (for me anyway) is to adjust the led drl brightness when the headlamps are on.
Which is weird, because it was possible before.
Probably because it is always evolving I guess.
So, sorry carista can't turn them off.

Whats the carista app? Obviously an app but im taking it that it has to be linked to your car somehow?
You need to buy the carista dongle off ebay/amazon(or a compatible type OBDII dongle) and download the carista app to your phone. Connect the two via bluetooth and you can then alter quite a few things on your car...quite good fun!

Had the car less than48 hours and engine light csme on. Garage replaced DPF sensor and it went off itself. It has now came back on! Im guessing the car needs a new DPF or regeneration to butn the soot off. Its under 3 month warranty so i’ll be pushing for a new DPF

Good luck with that. Companies now offer dpf off cleaning, which makes your dpf like brand new for only £149.99

Vag dpf app is what you need . . . .

Excellent app keeping dpf tip top

Not sure a dpf will be in with warranty

But definitely push for one....

It probably will not.
I had to get the genuine carista one to work
The carista app has the option for it. Ive already downloaded the app. Guess we’ll see
According to amazon the carista dongle is not compatible with my car

ELM 327 WIFI dongle.
@BigJoeyC - The ELM wifi dongle I got off ebay worked fine with Carista on my 2015 15 plate B8.5 S4 & also works on my 2010 10 plate A4 Avant
Also worked on my old 2018 18 plate Leon Cupra too

Sounds good, its meant to work with pretty much any car so it should. Can use the carista app to connect and customize

Yeah one of them?
Didn't work for me.
Might for you though.
Good luck

Yeah you can if you return it to default value, which I can't remember lol.
I don't think it was that high though .

I have mine set to 80%

But I believe this is only when main HEADLIGHTS are on

I messed about with the DRL brightness a while back, 80% at night was wayyy too bright and likely dazzles other drivers. Stuck it at 10%.

I agree wanting to revert mine back to standard...
