2-Ethylhexyl Nitrate (2-EHN) Cetane Booster - Does anyone use this stuff, if so which 1?

Hi

Wondering who uses this stuff and any recommendations please?

A lot of people buy Millers Diesel Power Ecomax which also has the additive Cetane included within however can be £££ for a 1 litre bottle. You could but the raw stuff (99%) from eBay/Amazon for £12 a litre and that should last you ages - treats upto a 1000 litres of fuel!

Also, read loads on Two Stoke Oil (Jaso FB Spec), Has anyone bought this stuff, if so which 1???

Used to use the 2 stroke in my 1.9 PD Passat and it did seem to improve the running of the engine. Not sure I would use it in a car with a DPF . I have tried some in my A4 but doesn't seem to make that much difference.

My A4 doesn't have a DPF. Burnt oil forms ash in the DPF that cannot be cleared. Even the mineral type oil so will add to the ash that already exists from oil that finds it's way through the crankcase ventilation system and past the rings.
