Rs3 vs TT RS

Hi guys
I am currently looking into buying one of the above ( or an a45 s however the 5 cylinder keeps drawing me in) and had a few minor questions
Practicality isnt an issue for me as I'm young with no kids
What are the main differences dynamically?
Any issues which the other does better?
Options or equipment that are must specs
Been thinking of crystal blue with the silver interior spec wise on an audi sport edition with a couple options on top.

Hi Nat,

Absolutely go for the TTRS if you don’t need practical rear seats (although my teenage daughter did squeeze into them occasionally!).

It’s about 100kg lighter and feels it. Turn in is much sharper. The interior to me is a big step up on an RS3’s, too. Looks are always subjective but I think it looks great, although I also love the butch, aggressive stance of the RS3.

Mine was Revo stage 1 and it never missed a beat in 17k miles. It was savagely fast and really turned heads. It of course sounds nuts!

It should tell you a lot that I’ve still not replaced it two months after I sold it. I was just offered crazy money for it but I do regret it if I’m honest. I consider it a baby 911 turbo. Except that it sounds much better than that car

Prices aren’t that much more than RS3’s either. It’s a no brainer to me!

Mine had virtually every option bar ceramics and mag ride! Didn’t miss mag ride one bit and the stock sports suspension is actually an expensive option elsewhere in the world.

I’d have the OLED rear lights. An expensive option but they look great and you’ll be unlikely to see another TT on the road with them.

Obviously sports exhaust is needed. And I’d probably say the comfort pack. But really everything else is personal preference.

I did see a black TTRS on stock wheels and it looked really stealthy!

Personally if you don't need rear seats as @D0C said, then get the TT RS.

If the TT RS had all the different performance styling bits from Audi Sport available that it currently has when I ordered my RS3, then it would have been a no brainer for me and I would have gotten the TT RS. I very very rarely use my rear seats in my RS3 as is, the deciding factor for me was purely down to looks and I much preferred the styling of the RS3 over the TTRS at the time of order... now it's the other way around with all those Audi Sport styling bits that when bolted on make the TT RS look very very aggresive (I'm a chav at heart though...)

I honestly think the hardest thing about all this is not deciding the car, its deciding the colours you want thank you for sharing your experiences again, I'll determine whether I want married when I go out in the demo as the great British roads are in fact no way near great as we all know

I dont think I'd have everything but I really think I might do the pack with the canard and wing, I think the diffuser is already great,and splitter I dont know if I would need and clearances where I live is always great, the bonnet, and rear seat brace I think are a waste of money due to how much they are but maybe down the line

Well I drove a nardo tt rs sport edition today. All I think I need to say was it was raining and was faster than expected, didnt really get out of 2nd while giving it any but that gave me a decent idea considering the conditions in a car I havent driven before. Sadly didnt get to test the handling too much but it seemed to have immense grip and impressive turn in with a nice weight of steering and great out of corner traction. I wonder if I need to have a test drive in the saloon to make sure
