Hallo,

I have a question about an obdeleven. Personally I don't know much about it but my friend got one for his 2018 rs3. We tried some things on my 2019 s3 but we got always an error message that its not supported.
Does anyone have an idea why it doesn't work?

It's important that the phone you use has internet connection and both the app and unit is updated.

What did you try, long coding? If so, you got to have the pro version to enable this.

Ooh maybe it wasn't updated... and the basic things like sound of the seatbelt and start/stop button.
I want the G-meter

Try to see if you can force it to update - can't remember where but you should be able to do that. The thing is that it's not only the app that should be up to date but also the OBD unit itself.

If it's not an App (you know, OBD eleven app, the pre-programmed ones) you need to have long coding to get the g-meter to work.

Do you got the new black version of the unit or the white one?

I think it was a white one. And I'm going to order one for myself. Do I need the Pro pack for the g-meter?

G meter doesn't work on the S cars, Alex tried to enable it on my S5 and it didn't work due to the ECU restrictions (ie would need the RS5 unit to be able to have it). Would assume it's the same for S3 Vs RS3

It seems to work on the S3 in the below video. Several have reported the g-meter to work but not the Torque & power dials as on the RS3.

I can confirm the G Meter works on the S3. I have enabled it on mine with Carista.

I stand corrected, how peculiar how it differs. Learn something new everyday

G-meter needs the correct airbag and abs controllers in order to work correctly. Engine Data requires the correct ECU.

I think mine had the g meter from factory. Can’t remember ever having to code it. 2018 s3
Will have a look at the coding and post it up.
