Scuffed the proverbial the other day. One pack of wet and dry from e-bay later and the wheel looks as good as new. Just waiting on some laquer to come to finish the job. Pretty chuffed with the results.

The Dremel comes in handy along with wet & dry followed by a compound with my mini DA.

It’ll do until I source a spare or go for aftermarket alloys.

I don’t think it’s just clear lacquer as the clear I used isn’t exactly the same as the rest.

Well today was the day, 19,000 miles in Just ever so lightly tapped a tapered kerb.. dented the rim of the alloy.

Been to my painter he said the smaller two will be fine but the other is a good millimetre or so deep and if he flats that our chances are the shape of the rim in that area will have an obvious change. Told him to do the best he can... drop off next week, re-lacquer the whole face then.

2 sets of pictures, before I cleaned the dirt out and after.

A good wheel repairer will get all of that out and you’ll never notice it. Mine was far worse and even my detailer couldn’t spot anything once it was repaired.

Hopefully, not happy with myself at all. Tried to soothe the pain by spending 5 hours giving all the wheels and arches a good clean tonight haha.
