I bought the car with the RS6 body kit, front and back but the only thing I wasn't too keen on was the rear oval tips. As I wanted to put my own stamp on it, I hit the old inter webs to see what options I could see. After millions of years scroll through pages of different exhaust tops if final decided what I wanted. I made a mock up out of cardboard to see if they would fit the outer oval on the diffuserand, turns out that size would have been too big.
Then it hit me, where else could possible do the same tips but slightly smaller, of course China!!! I manged to find them on AliExpress (obviously a genuine product).
I already had a custom exhaust with the rear muffler s removed and with minimal tweaking I have just fitted them.
Big question is what do you guys think?

Im in two minds to be honest.

Im not a fan of the day glow yellow stripes. I would probably have left the oval tips, but wrapped the valence in black carbon.

But what's important, is what you like! :racer:

New pipes look good, stripes need to be removed, think they take away from the overall look as they stand out more than the exhaust system.

Both look pretty good if I’m honest! Still waiting for a video of how it sounds

I said in my other post that when I got the DPF removed I left the cat in so it didn't smoke, so it doesn't have a straight though sound. Now looking at sound boosters

Yeah I remember don’t you have back boxes off too though I’d have thought it would sound pretty good

Yeah no back boxes or DPF but as the cat it still in doesn't really sound any beefier. I thought it would but that cat sucks all the fun out.
I have had a though about putting 2 HFC's at the back in place of the mufflers and have bypass valves so I can either have a straight through of have it go through a cat. Not sure if that would work though.

Prefer the oval pipes because of the RS6 rear valance. Still a nice touch though. I need to get my Akropovic tailpipes fitted on mine soon, they’ve been sat in a box for 2 years already!!

I think one of the reasons I wanted to put my own stamp on the car with these tips is that although it has the RS6 valence it's not an RS6. More of a gentlemans nod to beast - kinda

That’s crazy mate I’ve seen some 3.0 v6 on YouTube mostly a5’s some are crazy loud!

Yeah I would have thought having just the one small cat left in you would hear the V6 once the DPF was removed but only sounds a little deeper not much though. I think it's because all the videos on youtube have had a DPF delete pipe installed which get rid of the cat/DPF. Where as I've only had the internals removed.

What difference have you seen with DPD delete ??? Does it still pass the mot emissions test ?? My bitdi is partially blocked according to vcds

I haven't had it MOT'd yet but I have a guy. Even he said as I still have the cat in it it shouldn't be an issue even if he was legit, the welds are un-noticeable I can't say I notice as I had it remapped at the same time.

has it changed the sound at all?

I also prefer the OEM ovals. But thanks for sharing.

The twin exhausts look fantastic & make your car that little bit individual, but I’m a sucker for twin exhausts. To be fair, I really liked the old ovals too.
