Does anyone know where you get proper fitted roller sunshades for rear windows? I saw a Q3 with ones that looked like they fitted perfectly. I'm guessing it's a cheaper (and possibly better) alternative to tinting.

Try Tom @creweaudiparts iirc they had these

eBay is your friend. Depending what model you have. 3 door genuine Audi blinds are rare to find.

I've got the Sportback so no problem there :)
eBay then. They are really good too. Make sure they are genuine and they should be perfect fit. I think dealers stock them still but eBay will always be cheaper

Don’t think the a3 ones are roller blinds unlike the a6 or bigger Audi’s. Was gonna get them for my last a6 but ended up tinted the windows as it was the cheaper option.
There’s quite a few on eBay for the a3. Only ever seen them in showrooms and they looks really good but in the back of my head I alway think if my wee boy opens the windows they will get sucked out especially at motorway speeds.

Make sure you disable the rear window controls then (if you can)

Child lock does that but there are times I’ve cleaned the car or carried adult passengers and forget to press the button again. Got tinted windows now so don’t need them.

There was something else one of my mates got a while back. It’s like temporary tints which was a doddle to fit. Looked ok at least from outside.
It looked like this. Not sure if it these exact ones but it was on an old Land Rover.

Quite expensive for what they are but interesting concept. Gonna have to think about it. Anyone know roughly how much tinting would cost?

I got my a6 saloon done for around £150. Took around half a day or so. I would expect the s3 would be cheaper as there’s less glass and more accessible if it’s a hatch or sportback.

Yeah I would probably only do the rear windows (both sections). May well go for tinting, seems like the neatest solution without having to worry about blinds flying off etc

Just fitted SnapShades to our S3 and they're great. Can put the window down with no issues

Is a 2014 Sportback S3 a 8V1 or 8VA/F/K???

eBay OEM Audi shades show that they're compatible with some of these models but not others. All of these are listed as '2012-2019 hatchback'
