In recent news of my car I’m still the optimist... ECU not communicating with the rest of the car, the investigation will continue in the hands of Badger5.
Something tells me it could be low voltage, but having tried a few suggestions still no luck pinpointing the problem.
In any case, I am more focused now to get it where I want it to be. Driving the car over the weekend has been a dream, loving the power delivery and as everything else had settled down.... for example the new clutch and my exhaust drone slowly disappearing!
I’ve decided to take the plunge and bought the infamous Ignitron ECU, having heard so many amazing things with it and seen how transparent the logging, tuning, options and features are. Seems like the logical choice to allow my car to progress fully and more safely.
This will allow me to run Mafless, eliminating another restriction with our cars and as these things have a tendency to fail more often these days, so far I’ve replaced one everything 12-15 months. The ECU will pay for itself in years to come.
I’ve also acquired some fine parts from our resident perfectionist Tuffty. The custom large port inlet manifold, 63mm charge pipes, rocker cover, etc. All to help my car breath nicely with the welly cooler that Badger5 are going to be fitting for me. I’m also going to be running a secondary water meth nozzle post throttle body. The nozzle I’ve bought is a snow performance hypersonic #1 which is 60ml/60psi all the various bits and bobs to run it including a CoolingMist solenoid, which surprisingly is very small and but shouts quality.
Sorry I haven’t got any pics to add at the moment but I will when it’s all up together
