If you’re reading this, you probably like detailing. A bit too much. And you’ve probably got a few products sat on your detailing shelf that you’re not using. So why not pass them onto someone else on the forum who could make good use of them?

A couple of examples...

I had a tin of Hammerite smooth red which I bought to to touch up some chips on my calipers. Once that was done (and I had 249ml left over from a 250ml pot!), I passed it on to @q5man for his caliper repainting project.

@Scotty75 was in the market for a new paste wax, and I had a half used tub of Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax on the shelf that I wasn’t going to use this year. So rather than seeing it languish, I passed it on.

In both cases, the offer was “no money required, for product or postage”.

The idea for this thread is...if you receive a free gift from another forum member, you ‘pay-it-forwards’, by offering a product you have but don’t need on this thread, to send to someone else at no cost to them. The ethos is no money required (including postage). So you get something for free, and you then pay the favour forwards by giving someone else something for free (including postage).

I’ve been in touch with both @q5man and @Scotty75, and they’ve agreed, based on the fact I’ve sent them something, to pay-it-forwards and get the ball rolling. Top gents, both of you, and over to you...

Etiquette and ‘rules’:
- Share what you’ve done here to keep the movement going.
- No money changes hands.
- Don’t accept something if you’re not prepared to pay something else forwards.
- Only share personal information/private addresses via Private Message (PM).
- Postage to UK mainland only.

Intended to be a bit of fun and I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes :thumbs up:

Evening all.

Big thanks to @Jimbob76 for starting this thread and also for his kind gift of the Bilt Hamber Wax that's on it's way to me .

Really like the idea of what Jim is doing here and also like the thought of helping other ASN members out . It's a good group we've got here

So I'll get the ball rolling .......

Recently ceramic coated my wheels so I now have roughly 60% of a pot of Angelwax Bilberry Wheel Wax to pay forward. Rather someone used it than have it to dry and unused in my shed .

Reply here to get the ball rolling .

Like this idea.
I have about 3-4 litres of autoglym radiant wax. It’s the newer version. Annoying thing is it’s only available in 5l cans so I got plenty.
http://www.autoglymprofessional.com/en/products/radiant-wax-polish.html
In my opinion it’s one of the best filler type polishes about and leaves a freshly waxed finish. It’s the trade version of ag super resin but a lot less dusty and more waxy. This stuff is great on swirls and lasts months.

Not sure if this fits with the general theme of this thread as I think more will get use out of this if I was to split it.
It took about 100-150ml to do my old a6 and less than 100ml for the s3.
My thought was send me a bottle ,500-1000ml,and I send it back with this stuff inside or if you are in Edinburgh or Fife area I’m happy to meet up.

Generous offers from both of you - top blokes.

Think it’s a good idea to keep this as a regular thread @Bristle Hound - that way it’ll hopefully get ‘bumped’ back to the top of the list as people (hopefully!) get involved.

@Scotty75 - I’m gonna let someone else have the opportunity to take your Bilberry Wheel Wax off your hands (@OCDaveS3 - now you’ve got those wheels of yours refurbished?). But if that doesn’t happen anytime soon I may have a go myself mate (and then pass on again later in the summer).

@AlS3BE - like the lateral thinking mate, and nice one :thumbs up:

Ok all, so here is my opening offer.

Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine. 1L with pretty much 970+ml left if not more.

With my cars ceramic’d I am just not going to use this, so makes sense for it to go to a home where it will be used.

It's a protective wax sealant for alloy wheels Dave. Applied in the same way as normal wax. Smells really good too

Pm me if you're interested mate .

Does this stuff work for the sooty exhaust tips?
Looking for something that spray on and wipe off. So far tried everything apart from my barbecue cleaner on them. Nothing seems to shift the black stuff. It’s the worse exhaust tips I’ve ever had for black build up.

Try oven pride in a sandwich bag on the tips overnight

If the tips are bad, you probably need to use one of those green kitchen cleaning pads or 000 wire wool with a paste of some sort.....

Good evening people,

My offer is a 200ml tub of Obsession Wax Evolution V2 which has been used once. Was an impulse buy on a Black Friday and I’m not going to use it. Instead of it going to waste in the garage I’d rather it go to a better home.

The one time I did use it, it was fantastic and gave a really nice result. If anyone is interested send me a pm.

So who's going to be the first to offer @jassyo06 some BSD??? :p

Seriously though this is a great idea, just make sure the wrong people don't request your address! Look at the post count and how long they've been a member on here ;)

Not sure if strictly "detailing" but I also have a genuine Ara Blue Audi paint touch up kit which funnily enough I no longer need. Virtually brand new. Sure someone could make use of it (or maybe I'll post it in the 8V section)
