MMI upgrade

Hey guys,

I would like to ask you if someone can explain me how can i upgrade my Audi MMI system to the 2018 version.

I own a Audi A3 Cabroilet 2015, MMi version mstd_eu_au_p3151

i ve seen some dudes on youtube upgrading it to the point they put apple carplay
is there any trustable way to do it?

All depends on how much you want to upgrade? If it's just apple CSR play, then I think there are cheap ways to do this...... if you want virtual cockpit then you'll need the entire mmi2 which is center console, steering wheel, dash, unit where sd cards go and screen which could run u around $3k-$5k

i would like simply the software update, no need for virtual cockpit or anything simply the screen looks better since im tierd of this version.
would be more than happy if it looks something like this

Go to eBay or aliexpress and search for Audi Apple CarPlay and look at the 3rd party CarPlay emulators. Software is not gonna help you are your current media unit is in no way compatible with official Audi smartphone interface.

and is it possible to fit a new console in the audi like fit the 2018 mmi system with better resolution screen in my car in order to have the full kit original from audi?

An OEM retrofit of the Audi gen 2 technology pack mmi will run you approx £2200 to £2400 from myself. New OEM parts, 2 years warranty.
