Running these at the moment, no issue’s much better than standard. 10.71 1/4m, full weight sportback, pump fuel @ APR stage 2.
Of those who have switched to the MPS4s and stuck with the staggered setup how many have had issues with the TC?
I ask as I have an FL Sportback as I really don’t think the Pirelli’s do the car justice and Goodyear have no immediate plans to launch the Supersport in 255/30 R19.

Since making the switch from 255 to 235 the car feels actually a lot better and i've not missed having the 255 either.
Then there is the bonus of having a square set up so any punctures or event where i need a spare tyre isn't going to be as painful as messing around getting hold of a 255 tyre of any make.

Doesn’t the 235 look stretched on the wider front rims? The front rims are wider if i’m correct?!
Not in the slightest do they look stretched.
Much better looking than a 255 MPS4S which look waaaay to wide went compared to a 255 Pirelli.
The tread width on the 235 Goodyear’s is the same as a 255 Pirelli

Guys, just looking at replacing my dead OEM Pirellis, bit of a weird one, I have 255/30 R19 on the front.
Reading on here and when I put the plate into blackcircles, it seems like the normal size is 235/35 R19 on the front? Anyone else?
Edit: Looking at my car just now, the 255 are on the front and the 235 on the rear, looks like the clowns at Audi put them on the wrong way around ***!!

If you have the upgrade option you’ll have 255/30/19 on the front and 235/35/19 on the rear.

Think most stick with the 255 up front.
My car had the standard wheels so 235 all round, I then bought a new set of facelift wheels and have the 255 up front and for me I find the handling better on the 255.

OK So I've ordered 2 x MPS4s for the front of the car (255/30/R19) and just received this from BlackCircles and Whilst I don't have the older model, the current tyres are marked R02 - anyone else had this advice?

We wanted to make you aware of some technical advice from Michelin about fitting their Pilot Sport 4 S tyres to Audi RS3's 2015 onward.
This advice only applies to 2015-> 367bhp cars: Unfortunately, the sizes and specification of the tyres is very specific,with wider front tyres than rears.
They come with
Rear 235/35-19
Front 255/30-19
The fitment is mainly Pirelli OE, which is a R01/R02 specific fitment, and also Acoustic (Pirelli equivalent PNCS- Noise cancelling system)
Also the Pirelli OE tyres are doing less than 10K miles on the cars, making consumers keen to try our tyres, with our clear advantage in mileage
The R01/R02 marking sadly means the tyres are NOT THE SAME SIZE as a standard tyre in this instance.
The car is 4wd/Quattro, meaning it is very sensitive to it’s fitment in this case
We have a few examples where Pilot Super Sport/Pilot Sport 4S have been fitted and caused mechanical issues with the car, no damage, but the vehicle doesn’t drive as it should
These issues have been rectified upon returning to the standard specification of tyre R01/R02
It’s not a Michelin issue. It’s a very specific fitment requirement on a very specific vehicle.
With this in mind, we are kindly requesting that you contact us urgently on 01721 725 050 should you wish to make any amendments to the order.

Wrong model DOH!
Will let others with RS3’s comment on the above, however I have always been told that Quattro cars should have all 4 charged at the same time. I also wouldn’t personally mix brands. Fine for RWD or FWD bit not Quattro
Varying comments here some saying replacing two fine, but same type/size recommended

A lot of that quoted thread relates to a Torsen diff @q5man which i believe can be more sensitive to any tyre changes.
The Haldex system on the A3 is more forgiving.
However I always prefer the same tyres on all four corners.

If you run the same size Michelin’s front and back you won’t have a problem. A popular fitment is 245/35/19, which are roughly the same size as the pirelli 255/30
My 235 Goodyear Supersport are pretty much the same tread width as the 255 Pirelli I had on the front.
Glad I went 235 all round now.

Agreed, I think the response is because he will mix brands between front and rear. Should be no issues if he order 4 of the same make
