Do you meant Start/Stop system?

Start stop works fine. When the engine is running I can turn ignition all the way off and the engine remains running. Only stops when I pull the key out

I don’t know that code but seems like an issue with the ignition key barrel.

+1 ignition switch or power relay if there are no other symptoms, i.e. dieseling.

Ignition switch.

Ignition switch.
I agree. Contacts on switch must be worn/shorting if you can switch off and car still runs. I've heard of diesels running on when you switch off car as they run off the engine oil but stalling car is only way to stop that.

Hey bud, nice to see you around.

Yeah the imf has a play on the run on iirc.

Was there not a massive recall on ignition barrels on vag cars a while back? I can remember I had one on my wife’s golf a few years back.
Might be worth checking if your car has outstanding recalls.

I have the same issue with my A3 13MY any ideas what it is??

Admittedly the posts don’t say how to fix, but from all respondents they are all consistent in their message as to likely area of failure and hence focus for further investigation

Welcome to the forum BTW.

Yeah I see where they were coming from. Problem started around 10 days ago. I went to my local mechanic he said possibly ignition cap. I wasn’t sure what he meant by that but I emailed Audi last week and they gave me a price for this but when I explained the problem to them ie the key not cutting the engine off when in position 0. They said it’s more that likely the ignition switch which was a lot cheaper than the initial ignition cap. They advise to put on diag machine to tell you your fault codes. But I have already has this done with my local mechanic which made him say ignition cap. Think im going to go ahead get the switch changed see if it solves the matter.
Thankyou.
