So I finally finished working on a CCWA with a GTD2872VRK unit (CW 72/50, TW 59/54) ball bearing unit.
Results are below, I couldn't go further as exhaust manifold pressure was the bottle neck.

385hp / 810nm (S tronic gearbox)

Cheers
Bobby

Can a stock 2260vzk equipped 3.0 safely make over 300hp with an uprated intercooler? I've been told even with an uprated intercooler the stock emissions equipment limits are about 300 hp and then you run into egt problems.

@bobby singh I am surprised you got that much back pressure in the exhaust manifold with that size of turbine wheel. I didn't get much more than 3 bar of EMP on mine running 385bhp and 2 bar of boost. The TW sizes are a lot smaller on my wheel than you have on that turbo 51.2 / 48.6 . Is the restriction more in the VNT ring or is the DPF still intact. Hard to tell when you tune as it's always clean anyway.

Who told you that?

245hp with my tuning makes 330hp / 750nm stock hardware.

Depending on the dpf condition off course.

Hey Karl,

There is a tipping point whereby if you go too big you reach the bottleneck of the housing etc. Bigger is not always better. DPF is removed :)

I have units that i use myself which make around 430hp but these have a issue that I'm hoping to resolve. AMG tw is not that bad to be honest - just weight a lot.
The compressor wheel i use is also custom and has a larger inducer than the VRK unit ;)

3bar emp in your case is down to less boost.

Cheers

A update on this - The car returned to have my turbo fitted to see if the emp issue gets fixed however it still had the same problem.
Done 3 days of testing to discover the root cause is the OEM sleeve that goes over the compressor housing. Removed this and gain air flow.

New results are:
418hp on Diesel only
430hp with meth

The turbo is approx 80kg down on air flow against my spec unit hence some smoke, further highlighted by the fact meth add more fuel and creates more smoke.

Running water alone would be a better idea.

Enjoy
