New A5 Owner

I have just pulled the trigger on this A5, Sportback S line 2.0 TFSI 190 PS S tronic. Really excited to be taking delivery next week.

I'm totally new to audi, but just had a couple of questions that I couldn't find answers to.

The car is fitted with the wireless charger....which sounds great. But then I read that large phones don't fit, eg The S9 Galaxy PLUS. Is there any way to retro-mod the charger so that it can hold larger phones?

I noticed in some of the newer models when you open the door, you have a light with the Audi logo hitting the ground (led projection). I've seen a few on ebay, but does anyone have experience of retro fitting this option and if they look any good?

Nice car there not sure answer to your 1st question. Worth checking with Audi. As far as Audi logos in doors, very easy to retro, or could be fitted by dealer. About £100 for two doors, but often possible to get thrown in (I did). Otherwise plenty cheaper options on eBay, but personally would rather get OEM. Ask @creweaudiparts for a price.

Nice looking motor. Most of the questions I would put in the B9 A5 section as that's the model you have they will be able to assist you better, it's the next link down from this one you posted in.

As for the projector lights in the bottom of the doors, I don't know if they are standard in the B9 if not they are a pretty easy retro fit in the B8 but I'm not sure on the B9.

If you are just asking about putting the projector bulb/lens in with a logo/design rather than a normal light then if you don't mind getting on your knees then its easy to change the buld and 100% no reason you should pay the rip off Audi price. I have a couple of Gecko quattro ones in mine direct from china on eBay for £3 and they are perfect.... Its a bulb! they are most probably from the same place Audi get theirs from.

My s9+ fits in the chargeing cradle even when in a pouch on MY19 A5 Sportback. I think phones bigger than a S9+ may have issues

Yeah, my S9+ fitted fine and my S10+ fits fine too, both in cases.

As others said, you can get the projector lights cheaper on eBay, check out the dealers pages on there so they are genuine, also worth asking @creweaudiparts on here as he has some cracking deals. They do different ones too, I have the rings ones on all 4 doors on my S5 but there is also Quattro versions I believe.
