Bit of advice please?. My 2018 SQ5 has the 21'' polygon alloys with the Pirelli tyres fitted done 5ooo mile in perfect condition. I really like the other 21" alloys the twin spoke v design ones & have been offered a set which I think I'm going to have. My question is I've no idea what the polygon ones are worth or what to ask? Any advice appreciated please or if any body fancy's a set let me know with an offer.

Presumably what you are paying for the new wheels will give you a good idea? As an option on new they are both the same price.

Other than that they’re worth as much as someone is willing to pay :)

I looked for some on eBay a while ago but they don’t come up often.

...........thanks pauly. I will stick them on ebay & put a good reserve on them & if they don't get close to what i want i'll keep them & then when i need tyres ill use these ones & then just take what i can for the alloys.

Photo please; what are the "21'' polygon alloys" you refer to?

Having checked the Q5/SQ5 sales Brochures I can't seem to find that specific "polygon alloys" reference... :readit:

So please help; a new SQ5 owner here but oh so anxious to learn... :whip:

.............these mate.

Thanks RS3 S., If these are the ones you refer to as in "I really like the other 21" alloys the twin spoke v design ones" I can tell you they're darn easy to keep clean, way easier than my RS3 rotors:

The twin spoke V alloys that most 2017/18 SQ5s have are these. I have the polygons too, but would prefer the twin V spoke, but can't justify the outlay. I think the one's you've pictured are from the pre '17 SQ5s.

...........''yes'' these are the ones i changed the ''polygon'' ones for. They are a pain to keep clean, takes me longer to do just one of these than it did to do all 4 of the Polygon ones BUT there worth it just for the looks alone, & with the Daytona grey paint they make the car look fantastic. My car was a pre reg & had everything i wanted apart from my choice of alloys but i new if i took my time i would find a set, came from a german ebay sight & ''yes'' they weren't cheap but compared to what audi want for just one without a tyre they were in that respect plus i sold the others & that off set the cost as well.

Hmm, yeah I did wonder if the V spokes might be a pain to clean. The polygon's are quite easy to clean, but I think they look a little tacky and stand out too much, especially against my Mythos black.

Mine was pre reg too and the wheels were the only bit of spec I wasn't happy with.

I splashed out for a set of winter wheels/tyres and went for M10 silver's from Wolfrace and I actually prefer those to the Audi polygons

I'm happy to stick with them for easy clean over looks though!:grinning:

These: Big BLUEY Front Hubs are just soooo easy to clean with an 8cm and 4cm Wheel Woolie and then a spray over with QD

Andy, see you are missing the locking wheel bolt cover. Got a spare if you want one as i changed mine to the grey version now.

Thanks for the offer Steve, already noticed that and picked one up (and a spare just in case).

As I said, I prefer my Wolfrace M10 winter wheels to the polygons...

Winter Wheels s

Comparison half way through changing to summers (poor quality pic). To me the double spoke looks much better, less like a wagon wheel :rapture:

I think I prefer the M10s because I deliberately chose them to be similar to my old Accord Type R wheels which I really liked.

All in all though, getting back to the main topic, looks wise I think the twin V spokes suit the car better than the polygons.

But, as you say that's my subjective view. Thankfully we're all different :grinning:

Now the twin v spokes are lovely, no argument there

............same here. I think the Polygon alloys look more an'' off road'' style of wheel? where as the V spokes just give it that bit more sporty road look ?. Wish they had the small Audi sport badge on them tho.

Resurrecting this as it’s a wheel thread.

Does anyone know of the mk1 and mk2 Q5 wheels are interchangeable?

Looking at last minute spares / winters..

Thanks
