Hey guys,

I believe the virtual cockpit is standard with s5/rs5, I have this option on my a5 but was wondering if it is possible to code in the cockpit styling on the other models. I think you can have the speedo and rev in the middle while having maps on the left and media on the right. I think this looks nicer and is way more practical. Is this just different software that can be coded on?

I wouldn't have thought so, I'm sure there's better people than myself that know VCDS, but I'd assume this feature is more hard coded to the fact the car is an A5.

I think it can be done but only in the first few miles after that it’s not possible to code as far as I know.
It would be fantastic if I’m wrong though :)

Only by fitting a new VC, the firmware is completely different from the standard A5 to the S5...

VC is not standard on the S5 (at time of writing. With the updated soot-chuckers that may change) but what you want cannot be done with your existing VC unit. It's not something that can be coded using VCDS or VAGCAN etc.

It may have changed but the options for right bit of the sports display when it isn't in Nav mode are a bit sparse (time/date, mpg & maybe something else)

I think @DJAlix was looking at something along these lines, I may be wrong but worth checking :)
