As in the title really everyone, just a heads up really as he pulled a fly one on me with an RS4 B7 fbsw.

The wheel is fine , but was missing the airbag fixing bolt covers to start with, the then I find its not the original oem airbag for the wheel , and most certainly not the oem airbag loom that should be with the wheel.

The Wheel is dated 2006 but the loom is dated 2004 , and does not match the wheel condition at all.
I suspect it has been modified and fitted to another VAG car, hence the different loom.
I don't normally like naming and shaming people but in this instance I feel more than justified.

DO NOT, buy any steering wheels from this guy.

On ebay he uses the name " direct_prints
here:
https://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay...=negative&interval=365&_trkparms=negative_365

and on gumtree he's called " Qaisar "
https://www.gumtree.com/p/car-repla...lete-v8-s4-a4-conversion-rs-b5-b6-/1320984164

He's got another one and access to more, i'd let it go if he came clean and sorted the problem out but he wont, just took my £600 and now claims its all correct, which it is not.

Anyway, if you don't want to get your fingers burnt, steer well clear of him , I should have, if you do get the correct kit then good onyer as you will be one of the minority.

There are some really horrible people out there trading in parts , Can you claim off e bay or a credit card if you used one , or through small claims court , ?trading standards may be good for advice ,

Sadly I trusted him and that he would be selling the correct item, but it wasn't the case.
I thought it was me until I checked the part numbers on the airbag harness
Harness says 2004 4E0-971-589B , which is just a standard non multifunction harness and has no means of connection to any hand operated buttons., nothing to do with the RS4 FBSW.
I am thinking on what to do , maybe making him a visit with my very large and very angry german shepard dog.

This is not an RS4 B7 FBSW oem airbag wiring harness , not by any means even close.
And it has been messed with as the securing catch is missing from the green plug , they are not difficult plugs to remove with a bit of care, this one has been hacked at and broken.

Well maybe the luck of the draw, but if things are extremely cheap then there is normally a reason - I found someone selling used radios, guessed that he was either a scrappy or bought and checked over ones salvaged from wrecked cars, so took a chance, then got Component Protection removed, that is the point at which you find out if used parts are reg'd as stolen - and this one passed that test!

I bought a set of lightly used Audi A4 B5 5 spoke alloys many years ago, they were okay and no one came to take them and the car away - again I looked at the ebay ad properly then started bidding, these wheels were in big demand unfortunately!
