B8 Sepang B8 RS4 Owners Thread

No pictures, in short I can get two fingers in the left front wheel arch comfortably and on the right its a bit of a squeeze. We reckon in the 6 days I have had the car back after the first visit its dropped around quarter of an inch. Although no exact measurements taken. They are going to run DRC pressure check and see what happens.

Yeah I think my front left is a tiny bit higher and rear right is slightly low. It's marginal though. Will report back with measurements.

Mate, just heard that so far my front O/S shock needs replacing, they will know if more need doing once that has been repaired. According to them my DRC pressure was low which could result in further failures. They are going to check and report back.

You've got to be kidding. Warranty? Surely they'll replace under warranty. This is getting ridiculous.

Jeez, this DRC malarkey is crazy. Definitely don’t want it unless under warranty

Probably say wear and tear if shock(s) need replacing

This is the issue bro. We all have warranties but Audi are a joke with them. Well, I say Audi...it's the franchises. I'm close to jumping ship to AMG.

Exactly...The Audi 'quality' and name are a joke in my honest opinion. A relic. You have to be lucky with your postcode and get a good dealer. That's just not how it should be.

That's extortionate mate. Did you talk to them about contribution (apologies if you have mentioned already).

Just like the RS, AMGs and MSport have their own issues. It is highly unlikely that there will be none regardless of the brand.

Whilst some of it is down to the manufacturers my view is that all these franchises are to equally blame for all this mess. I am sure you guys must have read about the Land Rover Owner who left his SUV outside the dealership because of the crap Service he was getting from his dealership.

I'm with ya mate. I'm not naive enough to think it's just Audi. But my mates 2012 C63 PPP hasn't put a foot wrong. Had it 4 months just like my 2014 RS4. I've had a big issue every month. If I was loaded like that Range Rover owner, I'd do the same mate.

Shouldn't even be a question of contribution. We have warranties for this very reason. 128 point check warranted for 12 months with MOT guarantee. Problems happen. We're all human and sometimes things go wrong.

But it's how a person or organisation treats the problem and then how they right the wrong. Plain as day. I'm getting a call back from Audi UK ("I promise you he'll call you today"...never did) this week about my myriad of complaints. Hen I get some interaction, I'll let yall know.

As it stands, dealer is top notch, I have a very good relationship with them and needless to say they are aware of what happened with the S3 so know I won't stand around with my wallet open. It has gone off for approval from extended warranty and hopefully if accepted it will get replaced before they investigate the remaining shocks. There are a number of concerns I have especially as the car only came out of the centre last weekend after 26 days. But, this is not the place to comment further on that and I trust the car will finally be put right.

Glad they are supportive and fingers crossed for the other work - hope there isn't any

I hope so mate. Be good to have some confidence restored. Audi UK do need to read these forums though

Marshalls Oxford sits comfortably at the top and I don't think they have any competitors! Recently raised an issue with Audi UK myself regarding my A3. And like @Thundercliffe81 I am also expecting a call in next 24hrs.

I've got one last ditch attempt at a dealer in another franchise about 40 miles away. That's the max I'm willing to travel to be honest. I've suggested it to Audi uk to have a look at. Neutral ground.

I agree mate, but the problem with the web it can always get fed back. At the moment, although there have been a number of issues in the 11 days I have actually had to the car for since late December, I've got to be mindful that the dealer understands I'm still within my 30 day exchange policy, and its within there best interest to sort the car out. Likewise, the alloys as well as ultimately the final bill will be in excess of £6000.

@Thundercliffe can I ask how much were you charged to replace discs and pads.

Audi are looking to charge me £1000 for front discs and pads and £350 fitting :shutup2:

Hi bud.

That's not too bad actually.

I bought my discs (front and rear) from crewe Audi at £1200. To put it in perspective I paid £2k for front and rear discs, ferodo pads, braided hoses and labour. But yeah, not cheap!

Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk

Thanks for that. Agree it’s not cheap, but also don’t want to be ripped. Jack barclay are useually very good but I wanted to check.

I want to get braided lines but Audi won’t fit them. Should I get an Indy to fit after I get the discs and pads done at Audi or just the Indy to do everything?

Oooft. I can't be responsible for that. Haha.

If you're confident in the indy then yeah, you'll save a fortune. But they won't be covered under warranty. I think you've got to draw the line somewhere. I just thought it was daylight robbery from the stealer. A lot of guys on rs246.com just do it themselves!

Just thought I would give an update for members that are interested. My RS4 is still with Audi! Just over two (2) weeks now and although it was meant to be detailed on Monday they decided to not tell me until last Saturday that it wasn't going to be ready! In short, most of the work DRC related has been done, got to check the system still, along with new wiper blades as for some unknown reason I had the wrong wipers on and no-one noticed previously. However, Posh Wash the company that carried out the three (3) separate refurbishments to my alloys and made them worse and worse each time are now refusing to pay for new alloys. Despite them agreeing that there was no diamond cut left and the alloys cannot be refurbished again.

I'm honestly lost for words, I'm still within the 30 days exchange as it was extended from its first visit, but I don't want to use it as the car has been great in the short time I've had it in my possession since December, but the poor workmanship and the huge bill for new alloys isn't helping my decision.

Mine has been away at a bodyshop for over 5 weeks, hope go get it back this week.

Im also thinking on wheels. LND R9 in 10.5x20” and doing the new eagle f1 super sport in 295-30-20. What do you think?

Oh that's nice. Great Photoshop job btw.

I think they look OEM+ which really suits this car. Not too shouty but really squat looking.

Car is still on winters :) we still have - celcius here in the morning but in a week or two summers will be going on

Car feels amazing, still needs an alignment and ac refill :)

So.

I've been a bit quiet of late.

Anyway. Car was taken by Audi a couple of weeks ago. Or was it 3? They agreed to refurb the had job that was done on the wheels for initial collection. I asked to get them returned to factory Titanium Matt finish. Can't wait to see them.

They have also:

Force balanced front drivers wheel.

Replaced bushings all round as I was feeling and hearing a creaking.

Replaced DCR (NOT DRC Apparently) hoses as they were very worn.

And! Replaced the entire rear sport diff. As I reported handling was feeling quite boat like on turn in and mid corner.

That and a cheque for a considerable amount in order to compensate for my brake replacement fiasco. I get the beast back Monday and cannot wait. Oh, and they changed my winters over back to the Pirelli. Can't wait to wear them out and get some Michelin next year haha.

Anyway. Hope everyone is well.
