How do you have your VC set up?

Hi all,

Did search the forum for a similar thread but didn't find one (apologies if I missed it). Just wondering how you've all got your Virtual Cockpits configured.

I've currently got mine set to the S4's 'sport dial' in the middle, Google Earth map to the left and the consumption view on the right:

I wish there were more options for the right-hand panel, would have liked the power and G meter from the RS4 but I guess we can't have everything!

How did you set this up? Using coding? Or is it someone for the S4 / RS4?

I'd like to set mine up like this but have the speed signs on the right hand side if possible.

Cheers

Sat nav on MMI then VC is central revs / speed, TPI on the right and mpg etc on the left. I lost my power etc display ages ago and can't get it back!

It would need the replacing of the VC unit itself there is no coding to do this to non S4 vehicles. There are some who have suggested it can be performed within a certain mileage to non S4 VC's however the firmware on the S4 versions is different to standard A4's, thus I am sceptical.

whatstevedid has an S4 anyway...

This makes me sad as the VC on the S4 in that configuration looks soo much better than what I can configure in my 35 A4. I love the sport dial in the middle with the maps to the left, it looks great.

Satnav on the left, Central Tach/speed, Power & Torque on the right..

And TX - I 'lost' the right hand panel too - took 10 minutes of counter-intuitive messing about.

Yes it would be nice to have the extra space that combining the rev counter and speedo brings however the S4 should rightly have its own identity and exclusivity. It's what makes the car more attractive to buyers...

Put the left display on the trip computer. Press the 'right' soft button on the steering wheel, go to additional displays. Should be in there I think.

I have recently moved from having google earth maps to the driver's assistance page on the left hand panel with the same as the OP on the right.

36.8mpg on a S4, best I have got so far is low 35s!
