Hi All,

I'm about to update my map database on an A4 with 3gp mmi from 2013 to 2019.
There seem to be 2 methods to complete this.
A. Use green menu to delete maps and partition. then update.
B. Carry out update without deleting map and partition.

which method have people used and have any issues come up for either method?

All replies appreciated.

Mick

Do you see my conundrum ?
Three responses and already both methods used

Interesting- my question too as I’m doing the same to my wife’s car. The instructions I’ve been given recommend the removal of the old map and partition, but the site I bought them off says I don’t have to and can update without, so would want to know the answers too.

My current thought is to do the removal as it says it avoids some errors...

Just a quick update ,
I did the update after removing old maps and partition .
End to end it took 1hour 27 minutes .
I can't see a lot of difference but all went well , as described in the write up provided .

Finally did mine without removing old maps
