Hi folks,

I had the car in at MRC Scotland @ DH Automotive to sort out issues with boost on my car.

The car came with a Topgear map already on it and TBH is was *****,
Dave took the car for the day and has totally transformed it. Stage 1 engine and TCU maps done, new plugs and a faulty N75 valve changed and WOW.

Took the car to a dead end road and with launch control managed 5.8s to 60 MPH with a damp road.

Well chuffed with the outcome and if anyone is thinking about it all I can say is do it.

Done Sandra. ;-)
Thank you. As you know Dave is a site sponsor and a top guy. So all reviews are much appreciated. Good to have him as mrc approved for us Scottish members. Car is looking awesome :)

Thanks Sandra,

It is looking not too bad for coming on 100k miles. A bigger I/C is on the cards at some point and if I can get some heated seats or get Dave to fit an eBay heated pad set like he had in his old caddy to save my backside from getting cold.

Good to hear, I'll probably go to him as well. What car were you having done?

I'm waiting untill my timing chain gets replaced and hopefully by then Dave will have his rolling road built and I'll get it mapped. Can you buy the MRC badge for the rear?

Not sure, he has a load of them in his unit but unsure if it is only something you get with a map.

It is a 2.0 TFSI quattro with Stronic.
Ah. I thought it was a sleeper s4 , from the twin twin pipes and added coloured wing mirrors.
Take it you’d adde a s4 style exhaust system. I see a milltek logo ..

Interesting as considering my 2.0tfsi Q getting chipped sometime , and I’m in Edinburgh, where’s MCR?

Did you get a TCU remap as well, and no concern putting more power through a 100k S-Tronic either? Mines is at similar age.
An how do you get launch control on it , i thought that was only on S4s ..

I know AutoHaus do ARP , and they seeem a very decent and knowledgable outfit .
And there’s a on man tuning place round the corner form me that says he can take it to 250bhp no problem,

What’s the differences between ARP, MCR , Reevo and smaller places doing custom maps ?

If you are asking where is the local to Scotland MRC agent, they are now in Falkirk if you look on their website at DH Automotive.

I wish that there was a better system for some of us to become aware of places like this especially as MRC seems to be the "go to place" for S4 tuning. I've used Star Performance in Dysart for other VW Group jobs and now have used AVW in Edinburgh, but I always only blunder into finding out that these places exist.

Original MRC is well down South and maybe owned or co-owned by the son of someone that worked near me in Edinburgh!

Had the TCU remap done at the same time as the stage 1 and I have no issue with the gearbox at all.
MRC maps are now available at DH Automotive in Falkirk.
I have a Dynamik A4 which is a ltd run of 400 that came before the black edition and launch control was standard on it, not sure if it is standard on the other A4 TFSI stronic quattros. one way to find out is to have the steering wheel straight, gearbox in sport mode, traction control off, foot hard on the brake and the stomp on the accelerator and release the brake whithin 2-3 seconds and away you go.

I added the exhaust in August last year, ebay bargain at £450 and it was only 8 months old.

I dont know much on the differences between the well known tuners but I know Dave and his work is top drawer and the only place I will take my car.
