yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Anyone got any sound clips yet for the 2019 model?

Hi Mythos, Picked my Saloon up last night and can confirm its much quieter in the cabin, I was in a 310ps SB with no mods up until collection last night and its really noticeable. Its quite a refreshing change though as sometimes I found my SB a bit too loud, drone was a bit of an issue as well.

I will look at doing an outside clip but have no idea how to do this and the Mrs would mock and ridicule me if I asked for her help to take a video of the exhaust note, can you solo it hehe.

The S-Tronic seems to be a lot smoother IMO, ****** lovely it is! Mag-ride is nice too!

I've just received my order number from my Audi dealer (expecting the car for March '19' plate delivery) and it is in the Quality Assurance stage of the process on the tracker. I'm so excited! Went for S3 sportback, glacier white, pano roof, privacy glass and tech pack. It'll be my first Audi and I look forward to chatting on the forum and sharing pics etc.

Thanks for the reply mate! Everyone is saying the same thing, have you tried putting the window down and listening to it? I'm not too fussed about the noise inside the car as a lot of that is the fake sound I would imagine.

I'll give it some stick this evening on the way back from Bakewell, country lanes so might be easier to tell.

Mythos, I'd go as far to say the car sounds nothing like the 310ps version, I'd say I hear more induction noise as opposed to exhaust, didn't hear any DSG pops either, nothing like it's predecessor IMO.

As an Accountant who is quickly approaching 40, I'd say it's a better match for me now hehe. Mrs said it was quite "grumbly" whilst sat in the back.

Feels slightly quicker, probably because it's newer?

Bit of a shame really, im gonna have to get my dealer to find me a pre-owned one but unfortunately I highly doubt I'll be finding one with an identical spec to the one I've ordered as its a pretty big spec.

New one might be out sooner than anticipated, wait and see what that brings?

Is the sound that much of an issue for you? the delays and fact the car has 'changed' is obviously a nightmare but I think rather than cancelling it would be an idea to find a 2019 car to hear/drive it for yourself before making a decision based on other people's opinions?

I will probably go and see what it sounds like first but if it does sound worse id rather get a pre-owned one. Spending too much money to make any compromises.

So Thursday is the day I'll see the car for the first time... :sunglasses:

ETA at Piraeus port tomorrow morning, plus two days for customs and preparation. At last.

Does this tracking work in Greece too?

Not the factory tracking app you have, we sadly only rely on what the local subsidiary has to say.
They just told me what ship my S3 was coming on, and this is marinetraffic.com tracking for that ship.

Understood. At least (and at last), your wait is nearly over :) I'm in Denmark and I think we have the same situation here like you have in Greece. I placed an order, then signed up to My Audi on the UK web page as I was unable to find anything similar in Denmark. I was unable to get a 8-digit order number from Audi DK as they didn't know what I was talking about.

That's what we get for being tiny markets. We buy about 200 Audis a month, you probably buy more than that, but both numbers are not even comparable to UK or FR sales numbers...

Is that for ALL models or A3/S3 only? My numbers are for the whole Audi range, the A3 is just above 2K among them.

All new Audi registrations in 2018 were 2655, of which:
744 A3 3-door and Sportback,
172 A3 Sedan,
51 A3 Cabriolet,
22 S3 and
10 RS3,
totaling almost 38% of the brand for all A3 variants. Next best sold models are the Q2 and Q3, in that order.

Wow, 22 S3 and 10 RS3! We didn't have a single S3 or RS3 registered in DK in 2018, if to trust the statistics. Sadly, a vast majority of the A3 model is in the SE or the Sport trim with a tiny number of options due high import taxes.

I just took a look at your link, your statistics look like they count all variants under the "A3" label. The distribution among variants should be roughly the same throughout Europe, barring weather-related decisions (i.e. less, yes, less Cabriolets in the South).
I don't know how high the import taxes are in Denmark, but my S3's import tax will come in at just below 16.000€, and a similarly-specced RS3 would have about twice that in import tax alone. And that's why you barely ever see cars with engines bigger than 2 litres around here.

The Danish import tax is up to 150% plus 25% VAT. I'm waiting for an A3 1.5 TFSI S-tronic Sportback Limited Edition (LE = Sport with the S-line exterior, 18" rims, LED headlights and dynamic tails, heated steering wheel and cruise control over the Sport model). I added black optics inclusive black mirror caps, hill hold assist and Audi Sound System. I'm going to pay 357,000 DKK (approx. €47,800 or £41,900). For every bolt and nut that you order as a part of a car you pay twice of the UK or DE price.

Yes! The tracker says my baby has left the factory in Ingolstadt and is now in transit! so pumped!

Ordered my S3 today.....the wait begins. Seriously hoping it won't be 8 months! Will be happy if it arrives mid-summer.

Spec ordered: Sportback (chrome) in Ara, privacy glass, tech pack, electric mirrors, sunroof, sound and comfort pack, reversing cam, advanced key, sports seats and red calipers. Cant wait!

Hi,have got my eight digit number off dealer tried to input it onto website but states cannot locate, any ideas thanks
That's strange as I did exactly the same but the 8 digit code was found and simply added my order to the account/tracker thing. Maybe check with dealer whether they gave you the correct code and let them know it isn't working on the Audi website? Hope you get it sorted :)

Hi thanks for the reply will contact dealer, regards

Does anyone know if I could get my dealer to get a car from a third party dealership or do the cars have to be through other Audi dealerships?

Hi all, I ordered my A3 SB BE, TechPack, Comfort & Sound Pack, Driver Assistance Pack on 11Dec18, after much arguments about the options I got my ‘order number’ on 18Jan19 and was told my order was with Audi, but this website tracker is still saying it cannot be found. I notice some others with same issue, maybe the cars are just backed up a bit at the minute, dealer says SB BE is ‘restricted’ at the minute, but any help at all?

I had same issue. My family have used a guy at Lookers Audi group for about 10-15 years and when I seen the perfect used S3 I asked him to get it and he then said he couldn’t because it wasn’t lookers group. Best to just contact the dealership that the car is at. But tbh after all that I ended up buying new so...

For others info, I called Audi and they said my build week is week10, and once it gets to week 10 I can use my order number to track the progress on the above website.

I was previously told by Audi that i can track it once the build week slot is confirmed. This happened today but still can't track it online, but it's been confirmed for Build week 8 which is next week apparently :yahoo:

Another "Order not found" here, waiting on a Daytona 1.5 tfsi A3 S Line with Tech Pack. Local dealer matched DTD for me, so got £6.4k off list :)
