Audi A3 retrofit powerfold mirrors

Hi there just wanted some help regarding coding for powerfold mirrors on Audi A3 8V as I’ve had these fitted now need the coding as i want them to display on mmi and work from the key fob unlock/foldout and lock/foldin would appreciate if anyone has the long coding for this retrofit many thanks

On the a3 it only unfolds with ignition on not key/remote.
There’s a big post on here with all the coding. Depend on year or modules you have the coding can be different.

Below is the coding for mmi and fold. As above only unfolds once the key in is.

Hi thanks for the reply guys Audi A3 8v 2017 just wanted to know where do i get the long coding from as it’s all zeros in the long coding also regarding the mirrors folding only with ignition i have see them fold with the key fob on YouTube which is on the A3 8V retrofitted by Audi retrofits

Newer platform vehicles which have up to date BCM's will have long coding masked by 0's. Totally normal. The coding for folding mirrors is all in BCM adaptations.

Standard behaviour for folding mirrors is to fold on lock and unfold on ignition accessory position (1st click). You have reconfigured them to only fold on long press of the key for by changing:

• Access control 2-Funk Spiegelanklappung Modus = by look command via remote control key

In the newer modules it’s not under access control 2 but under spiegelverstellung. At least that’s where I found mine.

Indeed. You have to use some "smarts" when retrofitting. If you cannot find what you are looking for then "breakdown" the words / channel names within the search box until you locate what you are looking for. Remember, VW group does not share any information with Ross-Tech. Everything within our cars is labelled in German and Ross-Tech use label files in order to translate these for us where possible, and the labels are subject to change between versions.

Google translate works like a dream if your German is a bit lacking like me.
Vcds has been great but I think on newer model they are struggling to keep up with new labels. Still pretty good though.
