Has anyone in the uk got a CR15 strut brace?

That is a lot of money for a piece of extruded aluminium box section with a few holes in! Maybe some money to be made
I know a few of the boys over on RS246 have fitted them to their B8 RS4s.
Seem positive reports.

Makes noticeable difference tbh. I was a bit apprehensive before buying it but it is worth every penny.

Strut brace, a zip tie and a few nuts along with an instruction manual. I didn't install it myself though as MRC did it for me when the car went in for some work.

Not a lot of extras on top of the brace then.
Perhaps I need to buy one of these and make a few?
I just can't see a massive market for them.

No, not a lot of bits tbh.

From what I see on FB everytime Mark asks if people need them there are always 10+ ordering it. It fits S4s/5s as well RS4s. Not sure about RS5 though.

I made my own using some box section then painted it, easy enough to do not fancy or complicated just the existing cross piece as a template and its defiantly and worthwhile makes a positive difference to the handling.

If anyone can get me one to look at I will make some.
Not sure of price until I have seen one but it certainly won't be £170!! Can be anodised if that's what people want?

Thanks for the offer, I am in Norfolk so a bit of a trek. Ideally I would need one in the workshop for a couple of hours to ensure all info was gathered.
I may just have to buy one.

I'm with @desertstorm on this one.

Made mine for a tenner using some box section and used the bit of crap Audi fitted as standard as a template.

There really is no need for getting one sent over from the states for £170.

Hey dude sorry not being rude by not replying, just mad busy! I will try to do it but it’s all a bit mental at work at the mo and would need to leave the little nippers with the wife who may not be happy about that!

Plus car is in a right state at the mo. Filthy, bit unloved and some little **** has keyed the roof!!!

I’d like one to fit my 2.0 tfsi but can’t find one
 
I bought one, and yes it really did make a huge difference to the handling.

I don't have the time / skills or tools to make my own, but I don't regret buying one for a second.

Get it ordered! :)

What I'd be interested in is hearing from someone who has fitted a Canyon run strut to a car that has a sports diff, to see how it changes the handling.

I've had to sort my brakes otherwise I would have fitted one of these a few weeks back. Was about to pull the trigger on one. If @no_idea hasn't found a workaround and experimented with one in a few months, I'll probably buy one.

From what I've gathered from guys who've fitted it to the RS4, it resolves some understeer and improves turn in. Obviously we've got Sport diff fitted on these anyway but it still improved turn in

I’ve got a sports diff. Hmm, I gotta day I think either I’m a bit crap at noticing the difference mods like this make, or they don’t make much if you did it without me knowing I doubt I’d get in the car and notice much, but because I (obviously!) know I did it I’m looking for the difference and I’d say there was some but nothing to write home about.

I honestly feel like the S4 feels like it has some roll, that might just me by perception. I don’t think the sports seats help as I slide around in the damn things!!!

Hi Yes I made my CR15 style brace and it works perfectly. Sorry I can't make anymore at the moment whilst in lockdown. Speak to Mark Brodie @ Brotek as he imports CR15 braces amongst other things and often has group buys going.

No I never made any, I have never managed to get hold of one to take a look at or had the time to work out for myself what's needed.
They certainly were a lot of money!
