Modified 2009 8P Audi S3 Sportback 420bhp
£14,495

As much as it pains me to write this, the time has come for me to move on from my highly tuned Audi S3 Sportback after almost 4.5 years of ownership. The reason for sale is that my circumstances have changed and I am now looking for something that is a bit more focused on weekend fun rather than a do-it-all family car that can handle a track day or a country road run, at which this car excels.

As the new owner of this S3 you will be getting a well-balanced Audi with a set of modifications that I’ve spent countless hours researching and evaluating to ensure that they all compliment each-other to offer a rewarding driving experience without ruining the S3’s comfort levels or sacrificing practicality. Modifications on this car were chosen with little consideration to cost, with primary focus on quality, reliability and performance. The changes made allow for truly ridiculous acceleration that pins you in the seat, but with massive stopping power as well as real ability to handle any corner with ease and a lot of fun! This is not a drag strip queen, but a well-rounded, practical, high performance full-weight hatchback that can easily handle a track, but that can also put down impressive acceleration times if that’s your thing.

It has plenty of documented history while in my ownership with everything documented in my build thread on the audi-sport.net forum and every receipt for all maintenance and upgrades.

At around 74k miles the original engine developed oil starvation issue, which resulted in premature top and bottom end wear. I replaced the entire engine for a brand new unit from VW, with all ancillaries as well as the turbo upgrade to a new hybrid TTE420 unit. At the same time a new intercooler was added and a full set of blue Forge silicone pipework. This car was driven hard, but it also led a pampered life when it came to maintenance or correcting any problems as the receipts will demonstrate.

Power output was measured at RTech a few months ago as part of a tune-up/health check and showed a healthy 421bhp and 445ftlb, with 400+bhp available from around 4.5k rpm all the way to the top.

The car will come with standard front seats and without the private reg, but a set of original RS3 Wingback bucket seats is available separately.

I'm in no hurry to sell the car and quite happy to keep enjoying it, so please don't contact me with silly offers. If you were so inclined, you could take the car back to standard and sell the parts and still make a profit at my asking price - I just can't bring myself to do this as there is way too much money, blood, sweat and tears that went into making the car what it is today.

Car is located in West London - I'm happy to take any prospective buyer out for a drive and answer any questions you may have, but no test drives will be available, sorry.

It would be amazing if another enthusiast took it on and continued what I started.
