MMI 3G High/HDD Map Updates

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows when the 2017 map update will be made available for the MMI 3G High? It looks like it is already available for MMI 3G Plus.

My Options list states I have ;
7UG Navigation system High
18G MMI Navigation Plus
Now not sure what I have which update to get!!!!!!

If you are looking for a maps update for the vehicle in your photo you don't have MMI3G anything, you have MMI4G also known as MIB1 (2012 to 2016) or MIB2 (2016 to present).

If you have SD card based maps data you need to purchase a new card and licence and have them activated. If your maps data is based on the units internal drive then you can update via myaudi.com

Thanks for the info but how do i find out if i have the sd card based system? is it just a case of seeing if its inserted in the sd slot?

Am guessing you have working navigation, so check your MMI unit and if you have any SD card in it which have Audi Navigation written on them. If you don't then you have a Technology pack system or MIB1 High.

My car has Tech pack so what does that mean lol?

It means you have the better of the available MMI systems (available when your vehicle was manufactured) within your vehicle, which were available in two flavours 1) with Audi connect 2) without Audi connect. Seems to have the B&O sound system also, which was the top package.

I think you need to read my posted information again, you have hard drive based as that's what the technology pack is

i have a friend who works for Audi, he supplied the build info , i know somewhere on google there is a Audi site or forum where u can supply our chassis number resulting in you getting your build data, hope this helps
