Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Yeah I’m pleased with it. Was worried it wouldn’t be different to my current (well, old now) A4 but it is to be fair. Took a photo of them bothView attachment 172821 together as the old one doesn’t get collected until Monday

Iv order the exact same as yourself
Except - Iv got the v spoke 19”, stronic and tech pack
But Atleast it gives some sort of idea of the vehicle we’ll be getting.

Jase, I am getting exasperated too. Even though docs are loaded on Audi system, seems that VWFS are still to load the deal I negotiated last May. Oh the joys.

Out of curiosity... did you order the folding wing mirrors or have they come standard on your car? Is there any other upgrades that have come standard that you didn’t initially spec when you ordered your car?

No I didn’t order the folding mirrors but they are now standard. No other things that I can see as being standard compared to the MY18 spec I had ordered

Nice to hear someone has a car! I’ve just had another one of my daily updates That I’ve requested from my dealer... agency approval is still today’s blame of finance document delays and “its now likely to be Monday” I assume on Monday they’ll tell us Tuesday and so on. They do claim to be working over time now to clear the backlog...

As with regards to compensation I’ve been shot down with that one. Because it’s a manufacturing issue with Audi vwrs nation wide, dealerships have no obligation to provide compensation. Even my question of a free service out of goodwill was a no. Let me know if any of you have any better outcomes and can provide some leverage to use against audi
Compensation I was given with out asking first service free and meal out up £150.

You ordered end of May too right? If you've gone for black, we've ordered the identical spec!

Looks fantastic. Not a fan of those wheels normally but they go perfectly with the body colour and windows. Nice one.

So nobody has received their saloon S-Tronic BE still right?

Also, anyone who has received their BE regardless of model/spec, have you received the side Audi ring decal in your glovebox or anywhere? Cheers

My car is now ready, finally! I’ve been offered 2 free services, which they said is worth £500 (it’s not, a service pack is about £300) and I was also previously promised the money back on my recent service which I’m fighting for. They’ve also offered me less on PX than I was hoping for, so all in all not too happy - although the service is great with the dealership and it’s not their fault.

Should be able to collect on Monday, if we can agree on PX of my current car.....

Very close but I somewhat feel I should still cancel out of principle although they’d probably make more money than selling to me

Did you sign the finance docs with the same figures as agreed?

Also the 40 TFSI s tronic along with other models have now been added to the online audi finance site.

Hooray this should be the week!!!

Mind if I ask what dealership this is through? Stafford Audi are refusing compensation because it’s a manufacturing issue?

Still waiting for finance docs to come through on email, it’s actually worked out a bit less a month than agreed originally, although the price (before contribution) is higher than we previously agreed. I’m so fed up with the whole process in all honesty

Here’s a quote from audi Uk, should help you.

Any goodwill decisions are up to the Centre, as Audi UK provides each Centre with a budget for them to utilise as they feel necessary. I appreciate the delay and inconvenience caused and understand it is no fault of the Centre.”

Apparently they are authorised to give everyone two services, as a minimum. But cheap in my opinion

Appreciate it... I’ll maybe go to Audi UK direct to see if I can get some leverage on my dealer

No decals. Not that I wanted them though so never even enquired about them during the wait.

Didn’t even get a USB lead with it like I did in my 16 plate, but did get a free bottle of oil

I got Oil, a bottle of champagne and a lovely curly whirly USB cable.

No service book though ... I need to ask about that. The document wallet has space for another booklet but it appears to be empty.

It seems some dealerships provide much better customer service than others!

@unitzero. AUDI stopped providing service booklets, quick reference guides and warranty/roadside assistance booklets some time ago. All you get now is the owners manual. More “penny pinching”.

Are you meant to get USB leads ? Lightening and micro usb ? ( I did on my B8) ? Curious .....

Depends on the dealer apparently. Last time (from Manchester audi) I did get one; this time (Bristol audi) I didn’t.

It was lightening

My thoughts on this are, firstly, the car tells you when a service is due and secondly Audi provide electronic service history which you can only get if you get the car serviced at an Audi garage. So, effectively, in order to have a service history for your car, you need to get it done at an Audi garage...stitch up or what?

Not strictly true. I have a local independent who has access to the Audi Service Record system (although they do pay a fee each time they use it) and on each of the last 2 oil services on my S3, they have updated the car's service record. The oil services appear on my Audi dealer's system - including on a print-out I asked for.

That is good to know Reb. I wonder how we an find out who has access locally? Any ideas other than just asking around?

A proper Audi independant garage should be able to update the service record, reset the timer and have access to any software updates. However it is not penny pinching on just Audi's part, we've just had our fiesta serviced and that is also electronically recorded as well with notifications through Ford Pass.
My daughters Seat is also the same, it's nothing new...

Oh really ? They keep the service record online then ? What do you provide to the next owner of the car if sold privately ?

It’s the first new Audi I’ve bought, my GTI came with all the gubbins three years ago

Because the service record is kept on-line you can ask your dealer at any time for a service print off. Used vehicles bought under the Audi Approved Used System are sold with a print off in the document package.

Ordered my new A4 40 Tfsi s Tronic on the 11th May last year. This thread has given me more details than Audi

You can access the service record through the myaudi web portal. I don't know about anbody eles but I do still get a record from the dealership of what's been performed under the service and what checks have been made...
