PFL to FL rear lights

I have an Audi A3 8v 1.6 TDI 64 plate and I wanted to retrofit some FL rear dynamic lights, looking through the guides and tutorials it seems the PFL lights have 5 wires for each lights but for some reason my outer lights have 3 wires and inners have 4, does anyone know why this is?

The guides are referring to retrofitting from LED Rear Lights, you have Halogen with them connectors.

That makes sense, any idea how I could switch from halogen to LEDs? Cant find a halogen wiring diagram anywhere.

No worries. It is not easy but once you have got the idea in your head you can work your way through. Definitely worth the end result!
